Instructions for Use

The Shiatsu Massage Cushion comes with a screw located on the back of the unit to protect the massage mechanism during shipment, which must be removed before the first use to allow the unit to function properly. Use the provided allen wrench. Then properly dispose of the screw.

Failure to remove screw may cause permanent damage to the massage cushion.

To reduce risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way. Untie cord strap, extend cord and insert plug into a 120-volt household electrical outlet to power unit.

To avoid pinching do not lean on the dual massage mechanism in the cushion when adjusting your body position.
Do not jam or force any part of your body in the moving massage mechanism.

Strapping System
The Shiatsu Massage Cushion incorporates a unique strapping system which allows you to fasten it to almost any chair. Just slip the straps over the seat or chair and adjust the fastening straps to secure. Your massager won't slip or slide away. Attach the cushion to most chairs for a luxurious massage as you read, rest, or even work. See instructions on the use of the hand control.

Maintenance

To Store

Place massager in its box or in a safe, dry, cool place. Avoid contact with sharp edges or pointed objects which might cut or puncture the fabric surface. To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around the unit.

To Clean

Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Clean only with a soft, slightly damp sponge. Never allow water or any other liquids to come into contact with the unit.

• Do not immerse in any liquid to clean.
• Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene, glass/furniture polish or paint thinner to clean.
• Do not attempt to repair the Back and Shoulder Shiatsu Massaging Cushion. There are no user serviceable parts. For service, call the Consumer Relations telephone number listed in the warranty section.

Please note: Not recommended for use on wooden surfaces as the zipper may damage the wood. Caution is also recommended when using on upholstered furniture.

NOTE: Only gentle force should be exerted against the unit in order to eliminate any/ all risk of injury.
You may soften massage force by placing a towel between yourself and the unit.

Buttons Description

Heat Button
For soothing heat when massage is on, simply press the heat button and the corresponding red L.E.D. light will illuminate. To deselect, press the button again and the corresponding L.E.D. light will turn off. For your safety, heat cannot be turned on if massage is not selected.

Power Button
To turn on the massage functions, first press the POWER button. The L.E.D. indicator will illuminate and confirm your selection. To turn off the massage functions, simply press the button again. The L.E.D. indicator will blink while the Shiatsu massage mechanism returns to its lowest point and then it will turn off.

Shiatsu Massage
Shiatsu is a deep kneading circular massage. This unit features a massage mechanism that travels up and down the back of the cushion.

Demo Button
For a brief demonstration of the features of the Shiatsu Massaging Cushion, press the Demo button. The unit will briefly go through each function. Once complete, the unit automatically turns off. The L.E.D. light will blink to indicate the active functions.

Full Back
The Shiatsu massage mechanism travels up and down the back.

Upper Back
The Shiatsu massage mechanism focuses from the mid to upper back.

Lower Back
The Shiatsu mechanism focuses from the mid to lower back.

NOTE: When "POWER" button is pressed for first time use, the moving shiatsu mechanism will automatically move to the lowest position before starting a massage program. After initial use, mechanism will always park at lowest position. See note below regarding parking.

NOTE: The moving Shiatsu massage mechanism always "parks" or finishes in its lowest position. It will continue to this position after the power has been turned off. If the electrical supply is interrupted, when power is restored, the mechanism will "park" or move to its lowest position.

The actual product materials and fabrics may vary from the picture shown.

NOTE: As with all high-quality massage products, there is a 15-minute auto shut-off on the massage mechanism. Do not use this unit for more than 15 minutes at a time.

• To disconnect, turn all controls to the "off" position, then remove plug from outlet.
