OVERVIEW

NOTE: To use the wireless controller, it must be removed from the docking station. Then you must point the controller in the direction of the footbath

HEAT BUTTONS
The + and – symbols control the heat level; there are three heat settings. To start heating the water press either button and the lowest heat setting will be activated. To increase heat, press the + button up to two times for the medium and high settings.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SETUP

1. Unfold the foot spa by pulling up the edge one side at a time while holding the base firmly.
   
2. Use the anti-collapse system to lock the unit. To do this, pull out the metal props at the front and back of the foot spa and push them into place under the edge of the tub.
   
3. This unit is equipped with a wireless controller. To operate with the wireless controller, first remove it from the docking station (Fig. 6). A pull tab is located inside the battery compartment to prevent unnecessary battery drainage. Loosen the retaining screws of the battery compartment (located on the back of the remote), remove the cover and locate the pull tab. Remove and properly discard the pull tab. Ensure the battery is secured and inserted correctly into the terminal, with the positive (+) facing upwards. Return the battery cover back to the remote and tighten the screws.
   
4. Ensure that the unit is unplugged before filling with water. Fill with warm water to the MAX fill line, located on the inside of the tub. If desired, dissolve a small amount of bath salts into the water for a refreshing foot spa experience.
5. Place the unit on the floor in front of a chair. It is recommended to place the product on a towel.
6. Plug the unit into a 120V AC power supply.
7. Sit down and place your feet in the tub. Use the buttons on the controller to turn the unit on and to select water temperature, bubbles, and vibration. As an alternative, unit can also be controlled by pressing the buttons on the front
8. To turn off, press the power button again to deactivate.
9. To empty, unplug the unit and pour the water out.
10. To store the footbath, unlock the anti-collapse system by unclipping the metal props from under the edge of the tub and folding them away. Then fold the foot spa down by pressing down on the edges while holding the base firmly.

TO USE THE PEDICURE CENTER

Select from one of the 3 attachments and simply press the desired attachment into the pedicure center.

• Pumice Stone: smooths and softens dry skin.
• Cleansing Brush: cleanses and exfoliates your feet.
• Acunode Massage: rolling nodes for a targeted massage.

When finished with the pedicure attachment, rinse and allow to dry. Place back into to the pedicure center or in the storage compartment.
Enjoy a deep massage by sliding feet back and forth over the stimulating nodes and silicone bristles on the footbath floor. You can also utilize pedicure attachments for a complete home spa experience.

MAINTENANCE

TO CLEAN

Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Clean only with a soft, damp cloth and mild cleansing agent.

• After cleaning, wipe surfaces with a dry cloth.
• NEVER use strong abrasives, detergents, or cleansing agents.
• Periodically straighten cord if it becomes twisted.

TO STORE

Unplug the appliance from the outlet and allow to cool and dry.

• Store in original box or a clean, dry place.
• To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around the unit.
• DO NOT hang the unit by the power cord.
• This appliance is designed for household use only.

NOTE: The controller utilizes a CR-2032 Battery (included). To change the battery, use a Phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the back cover. Remove cover, replace battery, put the cover back on and screw into place.

• An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use, and before putting on or taking off parts.
• Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or near children, invalids, or disabled persons.
• Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. DO NOT use attachments not recommended by Homedics; specifically, any attachments not provided with the unit.
• NEVER operate the appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. Return the appliance to a Homedics Service Center for examination and repair.
• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
• NEVER drop or insert any object into any opening.
• DO NOT operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
• DO NOT operate under a blanket or pillow. Excessive heating can occur and cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
• DO NOT carry this appliance by supply cord or use cord as a handle.
• To disconnect, turn all controls to the "off" position, then remove plug from outlet.
• DO NOT use outdoors.
• NEVER operate the appliance with the air openings blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
• DO NOT stand on or in appliance. Use only while seated.
• Use heated surfaces carefully. May cause serious burns. Do not use over insensitive skin areas or in the presence of poor circulation. The unattended use of heat by children or incapacitated persons may be dangerous.
• DO NOT handle plug with wet hands.
• Always unplug the unit when filling or moving the unit.
• Ensure that your hands are dry when operating the controls or removing the plug.
• Connect this appliance to a properly grounded outlet only. See Grounding Instructions.

• This product is not intended for medical use.
• Consult your doctor prior to using this product, if:
  • You are pregnant
  • You have a pacemaker
  • You have any concerns regarding your health
• NOT recommended for use by diabetics.
• DO NOT attempt to plug or unplug unit while feet are in the water.
• Use appliance on a sturdy or level surface.
• DO NOT use this product for more than 20 minutes at a time.
• Extensive use could lead to the product's excessive heating and shorter life. Should this occur, discontinue use and allow the unit to cool before operating.
• NEVER use any foot spa on open wounds, discolored areas, or any area of the body that is swollen, burned, inflamed, or where skin eruptions or sores are present.
• If you experience pain in a muscle or joint for a prolonged period of time, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Persistent pain could be a symptom of a more serious condition.
• This product should NEVER be used by any individual suffering from any physical ailment that would limit the user's capacity to operate the controls or who has sensory deficiencies.
• DO NOT use while sleepy or drowsy.
• Use of this product should be pleasant and comfortable. Should pain or discomfort result, discontinue use and consult your physician.
• This product is intended for household use only.
• All servicing of this footbath must be performed by authorized Homedics service personnel only.
• To avoid injury and irreparable damage, always remain seated when using this foot spa. Never stand on or in the unit.
• THIS UNIT CAN ONLY RUN WITH WATER IN IT. DO NOT USE WITHOUT WATER.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

This product is for use on a nominal 120V circuit and has a grounding plug that looks like the plug illustrated in (Fig. A). Make sure that the product is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. No adapter should be used with this product.

• Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of used batteries according to local regulations and keep away from children. Do NOT dispose of batteries in household trash or incinerate.
• Even used batteries may cause severe injury or death.
• Call a local poison control center for treatment information.
• Provided battery is a non-rechargeable CR2032, 3VDC.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
• DO NOT force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above (manufacturer's specified temperature rating) or incinerate. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage or explosion resulting in chemical burns.
• Ensure the batteries are installed correctly according to polarity (+ and -)
• DO NOT mix old and new batteries, different brands or types of batteries, such as alkaline, carbon-zinc, or rechargeable batteries.
• Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of batteries from equipment not used for an extended period of time according to local regulations.
• Always completely secure the battery compartment. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product, remove the batteries, and keep them away from children.

• INGESTION HAZARD: This product contains a button cell or coin battery.
• DEATH or serious injury can occur if ingested.
• A swallowed button cell or coin battery can cause Internal Chemical Burns in as little as 2 hours.
• KEEP new and used batteries OUT OF REACH of CHILDREN
• Seek immediate medical attention if a battery is suspected to be swallowed or inserted inside any part of the body.
