T-30 Owner's Manual
NECK
The select rock maple neck is of a unique bilaminated
construction (U.S Patent number 4.237,944) to provide
unmatched
rigidity and
freedom
from
warpage
Additional reinforcement is provided with a steel torsion
rod This neck adjusting rod features high-press rolled
instead of cut. threads for improved strength and
freedom from breakage.
The special 23Vt inch scale length provides a better
reach for younger and beginning guitarists and easier,
faster fretting for the more experienced player The arch
of the fingerboard is on a 12 inch radius toallow excellent
string bending characteristics without the buzzing and
fretting out problems associated with the smaller 10 inch
radius used by many other manufacturers. Frets are 18%
nickel silver.
BODY
The T-30* is made from the finest hand selected
hardwood
A double cutaway design with special
'forearm"
and
"rib
cage"
relief
contouring,
rests
comfortably and with good balance against the player's
body.
PICKUPS
Three single coil high performance pickups provide
both high power and full range operation. They may be
used singly or in combination and are controlled by
master volume anc tone controls The exposed "blade-
type" polepieces give much better performance than the
more common individual magnet designs, especially
when "string bending" on the upper frets
CIRCUITRY
The circuitry of the T-30' is-conventional with the
exception of the tone compensating volume control,
which minimizes high frequency losses v/hen operating
at reduced volume settings. However, full volume
settings will maximize the tonal capabilities. The volume
level should therefore be controlled at the amplifier
whenever possible
BRIDGE
The die cast alloy bridge is triple chrome plated for
durability and resistance lo corrosion
Support is
provided at three points for stability and maximum
adjustment of height and tilt
HARDWARE
•Top quality enclosed tuning machines....with "safety
posts"
•Die cast metal top nut
•Control knobs specially designed and balanced
•Sturdy five-position Oentralab pickup selector switch
•Switchcraft output jack on face of guitar
•Cream and black, laminated pickguard
•Stable, die cast alloy bridge, with individually adjustable
bridge saddles
•Top quality, rock'n roll gaugestringsfor light action and
good sustain
VOLUME CONTROL
The volume control acts as a master volume in that it
controls the total signal level delivered from the pickups
to the output jacks. Rotating the control knob clockwise
will increase volume; rotating counterclockwise will
reduce the volume.
TONE CONTROL
The tonecontrol, like the volume control, operatesas
a master control. Rotating clockwise will result in more
treble (high frequencies) and a "brighter tonality"
Rotating counterclockwise will result in less treble and a
"bassier type" sound
PICKUP SELECTOR SWITCH
Thisfive*position switch determines which pickup(s)
are operational
NOTE
POSITION NUMBER ONE IS THE POSITION NEAREST
THE NECK. POSITION NUMBER FIVE IS THE POSITION
NEAREST THE BRIDGE END OF THE GUITAR.
Posilion # 1 - Neck pickup only - single coil operation.
Position # 2
Neck and middle pickup -humbucking
mode - out of phase tonality.
Position * 3 - Middle pickup only - single coil operation
Position « 4 - Bridge and middle pickup -humbucking
