  • Page 3 These instructions are intended to persons who are familiar with the assembly of GRP cabinets and have the necessary professional knowledge for the following activities. This mounting instruction describes the assembly of the protective cabinet CLASSIC and CLASSIC GO without threaded rods (lifting lugs on the roof) and without special equipment.

  • Page 7 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC At the beginning of assembly, make sure that the floor frame is on a firm and level surface. 1. Place the back wall panel on the floor. For a two-part back wall, use the wall element with the two posts.
  • Page 8 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC 4. Place the C-rail on the inner side of the cabinet. Align the height of the C-rail in the middle. The C-rail must be flush with the outer wall at the top and bottom. 5. Drill a 4.2 mm / 3/16 in hole at the top and bottom (only) through the holes in the C-rail into the GRP.
  • Page 9 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC 6. Rivet the C-rail and wall panels at the top and bottom with 4 x 19 mm rivets. 7. Remove the screw clamps. 8. Fix the wall element to the post in the middle using a screw clamp.
  • Page 10 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC Clean the floor frame. For GRP floor frames only: Use a microfiber cloth for cleaning. For floor version with steel frame: Cleaning work may only be carried out in a well-ventilated workplace. Poorly ventilated environments can cause drowsiness and dizziness, which can lead to misconduct and injuries during work.

Place the second back wall element on the floor frame. Pay attention to the overhang of 10 mm / 0.4 in.
  • Page 12 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC 5. If necessary, adjust the door frame in height. Light blows on the door frame may only be applied at the transition to the post. In areas beyond this, there is a risk of damaging the door frame.
  • Page 13 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC 4.3.2.4 Readjusting wall panels To align the cabinet panels, use a screw clamp. One end must be attached to the frame, the other to the wall panel. By carefully tightening the screw clamp, you move the cabinet in the desired direction.
  • Page 14 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC Install the screws. Tighten the screws with the following torque values. Torque: 12 – 15 Nm Torque: 25 – 30 Nm 2. Only for rear wall panels with a width of 90 cm / 35.5 in and more Drill a hole in the middle of the rear wall element.
  • Page 15 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC 4.3.2.6 Mounting the roof Lay the sealing tape on top of the wall panels and the door frame all the way around. Remove the entire release paper. Make sure that there is a distance of 5 to 7 mm / 0.2 to 0.28 in from the outer edge.
  • Page 16 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC Holes must be drilled in the interior of the cabinet to attach the roof. To do this, drill through the predrilled holes in the angle brackets. Make sure that you only drill through the first layer of GRP.
  • Page 17 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC 4.3.2.8 Mounting door(s) (at least 24 hours after sealing) Have doors ready. Make sure you have the right door ready for the right side. Grease the door hinge pins with grease. Make sure that no dirt gets into the lubricating grease.
  • Page 18 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC 4.3.3 Setting door(s) Close the door(s) and check the lock. The door must close flush with the door frame. The force required to close must not be too high. Check that the gap between the door(s) and the frame is the same and that the doors are horizontally aligned.
  • Page 19 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC 4.3.3.2 Assembly of door rod plates In some cases, door rod plates for the door lock must be installed. Door rod plates for the door rollers of the locking mechanism must be mounted at the top and bottom. Both plates must be mounted. The following steps describe the assembly for 1 plate.
  • Page 20 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC If the rollers are not at the correct height, loosen the set screws with a size 8 open-end wrench. Adjust the height and tighten the set screws. Screws 4.3.3.4 Adjust door overlap (only two-door version) Check that the doors are flush with each other.
  • Page 21 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC 4.3.3.5 Adjusting contact pressure Check the contact pressure of the pressure rollers. Bring the latch into the "Open" position. Place the ring wrench over the latch. Make sure that there is sufficient distance from the sealing rollers.
  • Page 22 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC Perform these steps 2 and 3 until the cabinet door closes flush. Close the cabinet door and lock it. Door with external locking Adjust door with external lock. Close the door. If the locks at the top and bottom do not fit, place the ring wrench over the lock.
  • Page 23 Mounting Instructions INTERTEC CLASSIC If the center lock is too stiff, readjust the strike plate with light blows with a rubber mallet. 4.3.4 Additional task on the GO version To ensure the antistatic properties of the GO version, the door(s) must be grounded to the C-rail.
