  • Page 2 Introduction The Lippert 3500 Series Patio Rail Kit has been designed for easy installation and use. It creates a safe barrier around the perimeter of the ramp door while in the patio position, opens to allow the door to be utilized as a ramp, and easily collapses and is stowed in the door cavity during travel while the door is closed.

Note: Although the product is water resistant, Lippert recommends storing the door in the closed position during periods of rain to reduce the risk of water intrusion, which may result in delamination.

Be sure to open the latch past 90° so that the rubber sleeves catch on the metal of the gate assembly (Fig. 9B) and secure the latch snugly in the open position. Jiggle or attempt to displace the latch to ensure it is tight an will not dislodge.

Note: Always lift the rail assemblies/sections upwards while moving or positioning any part of them to assist the caster springs and avoid scratching the ramp door surface with the compression latch feet.

The front rail sections should be closed and secured against the main rail sections by straps at the top of each section.
