  • Page 8 A1. BEAM AND GUTTER INSTALLATION USING INSERT CHANNEL Confirm job site dimensions before cutting any material. Any changes may impact engineering. Once site dimensions are confirmed, cut the Ledger Beam (B) and Outer Beam Beam (C) to length. Cut Side Beams (D) to appropriate lengths. Refer to Appendix A, Chart 1, Optimum Frame Size Chart, for appropriate cut lengths to optimize frame dimensions.

Miter cut at a 45° angle the Side Beams (D) to appropriate lengths. Refer to Appendix A, Chart 1, Optimum Frame Size Chart, for appropriate cut lengths to optimize frame dimensions.

  • Page 16 Cut off the tooth on the Pivot Strip on each side of the gap created in previous step (step 2). Position the top of the Motor Backing Plate close to the top of the Pivot Strip. The bottom notches on the Motor Backing Plate should slide over the lip on the Gutter. Fasten the Motor Backing Plate to the Ledger Beam with #14 Tek Screws.

  • Page 24 J. LOUVER INSTALLATION PRO TIP: For optimal light control, it is recommended to CLOSE the Louvers towards the east or south. Roll each Louver in the “OPENING” direction until one side drops into seated position in the pivot strip. Rotate in the opposite direction until the other side drops into seated position. Prior to installing Louvers located near the Motor, modify the motor side of the Louvers and Endcaps according to the type of Motor being used.

The Somfy RTS Receiver will retain programming when disconnected from power. It is essential that you connect both Linear Motor(s) to the Somfy RTS Receiver prior to powering up the unit.
