1.6 Safety Operation 1.6.1 Operator safety Personal Fall Protection Personal fall protection equipment (PFPE) is required when operating this machine. If PFPE is required in job site or in operator's manual, the following rule should be complied with: All PFPE must comply with applicable governmental regulations, and must be inspected and used in accordance with the PFPE manufacturer’s instructions.

Do not lower the boom unless the area below is clear of personnel and obstructions. Limit travel speed according to the condition of the ground surface, congestion, slope, location of personnel, and any other factors which may cause collision. 3.2 Function Test 3.2.1 Function test principle The function tests are designed to discover any malfunctions before the machine is put into service. The operator must follow the step-by-step instructions to test all machine functions; A malfunctioning machine must never be used.
