4 fiery salvoes
from the hood of the beast.
"The Koch Ness Monster is a pared down, throw and go, Orange Clad Warrior of the Sonic Night. Four delicious flavors
of JAM pedals glory to get the job done in the service of ROCK."
-Greg Koch
The Koch Ness Monsters are
the culmination of a 15-year-long
relationship between the legendary
Greg Koch and JAM pedals, built on
mutual love, admiration and respect
for each other's work. We embarked
on a mission to craft the ultimate
pedalboards that meet Greg's every
need—whether he's rocking out live,
recording in the studio, or diving deep
into his creative process.
What you hold in your hands, is Greg's
ultimate on-the-go remedy!
The Koch Ness Monster is designed
with ease of travelling in mind and is
equipped with the essential set of
effects to get Greg comfortably
through any gig or session
scenario.
A unique and innovative feature
of the KNM is the ability to sync the
Delay Llama's Tap Tempo to the
Harmonious Monk allowing you to
control both units with a single Tap.
Experiment with the subdivision
settings while in synch to get
otherworldly rhythmic textures!
SIGNAL CHAIN:
1. Lucydreamer: Dry/Wet Overdrive
with controls for Level, Gain, Tone
and Dry/Wet Mix. The second
footswitch engages the high-gain mode.
Set the output level for the high gain
stage via an internal trimmer. For more
info visit:

2. Eureka!: A unique Fuzz voiced after
our favourite traits found in Muff and
Face style boxes of the past. Controls
for Level, Tone, Gain as well as
a 3-way toggle switch for 3 increments
of bass response. For more info visit:

3. Send/Return FX Loop to play
different pedals between the gain
and modulation sections.
4. Harmonious Monk: Harmonic/
Amplitude tremolo designed in
collaboration with That Pedal Show.
Controls for Depth, Speed, Level, Dry/
Wet Mix, 2-way toggle switch to select
tremolo mode (top for Harmonic bottom
for Amplitude) a 3-way-toggle switch to
choose LFO shape (top for Square,
middle for Sine, bottom for Reverse
Sawtooth) and another 3-way toggle
switch to select the TAP tempo
subdivisions.
The KNM comes with the Tap & Ramp
mode preselected for the Harmonious
Monk In order to switch between the
Tap & Ramp and Legacy modes, keep
both footswitches pressed until theLEDs
blink, indicating mode change.
While in the Tap & Ramp mode,
prolonged press of the TAP footswitch
will engage ramping from the original to
the fixed user-selectable speed. In order
to determine the fixed user-selectable
speed, while keeping the TAP footswitch
pressed, adjust the Speed potentiometer
to taste - make sure to return the Speed
to the original position after releasing
the TAP footswitch.
In order to determine how long it takes
to travel from the original speed to the
fixed user-selectable speed, while
keeping the TAP footswitch pressed,
adjust the Depth potentiometer to taste
- make sure to return the Depth to the
original position after releasing the TAP
footswitch.
While in the Legacy mode, an
instantaneous press of the TAP
footswitch will engage and disengage
the speed multiplying function. There
are 2 available factors: x2 and x1.5
(dotted feel). In order to change the
multiplication factor, keep the TAP
footswitch pressed until you see 2 TAP
LED blinks for the x2 factor or 3 TAP LED
blinks for the x1.5 factor. For more info
visit:

*Hint: While in the Amplitude mode
and with the Square LFO selected
and with the Depth potentiometer all
the way up you can activate the CHOP
effect (kill-dry) which effectively
alternates between sound and
complete silence!
5. Delay Llama: 600ms analog Delay
with Tap Tempo and subdivisions.
Controls for Time, Repeats (feedback)
and Level as well as a 3-way toggle
switch to select the TAP tempo
subdivisions.
By engaging the SYNC toggle
(top position) the Delay Llama's TAP
tempo now also controls
the Harmonious Monk's tempo.
When in SYNC TAP mode the
Harmonious Monk's TAP Led will only
blink once as it receives the command
from the Delay Llama and will then
remain off. There are 2 internal
trimmers for the Delay Llama; one to set
the trails' fade out time and another
to set the max. number of repeats.
The Delay Llama comes pre-set in true
bypass mode. If you wish to change it to
buffered bypass mode so your trails will
fade out naturally after you have
disengaged the pedal, remove the
power cable from the KNM, press and
hold the Delay Llama's TAP footswitch,
insert the power cable, release after you
see the right LED blink 3 times.
To set your pedal back to true bypass
mode, repeat above steps. The LED will
now blink 2 times to indicate successful
true bypass mode operation. For more
