Security features on your device protects your privacy and security with encryption, app permissions, safe
browsing, and other features to keep your data secure.
To access» Click on the Settings icon, then scroll down and select Security
Security status
- Google Play Protect regularly checks your device for potentially harmful apps and signs of malware. It
may deactivate, remove, or reset app permissions to protect your privacy.
- Find My Device helps you locate your device remotely if lost, misplaced, or stolen. This feature allows
you to lock and erase the data on your device. A Google account is needed for this feature.
- Security update is one of the ways to ensure that your smartphone is secure. Your device will regularly
check for updates and notify you of the last security update performed.
