- Page 4 2. KVM function operation To switch display modes or edit content on the four connected computers, use the single set of keyboard and mouse. To initiate a mode switch, press and hold the * key, then press the corresponding function key. For example, to switch to a quad-split mode, press and hold *, then press 0.
