Replacing elbow on models 704 and 707

We recommend removing the old swivel before ordering any parts in case there is internal corrosion. Spray internally with a penetrating oil to break down any corrosion.

TOOLS REQUIRED:
ALLEN WRENCH OR HEX SCREWDRIVER PLIERS

1. Locate the opening in the hose reel spool revealing the Hex Screw.
   
2. Use an Allen Wrench or Hex Screwdriver to remove the HEX SCREW.
3. Use Pliers to unscrew the swivel from the elbow connector inside of the drum. DO NOT HOLD THE SQUARE SWIVEL HEAD as it is designed to turn. Hold the swivel shaft stationary and turn the reel with your right hand to unthread the swivel.
   Note: If your original swivel is aluminum, please continue with instructions below to Step 4.
   If your hose reel has a brass swivel, remove the elbow from the opening of the drum. Install new elbow and attach swivel.
4. Remove crank handle bolt and remove crank arm.
   
5. Loosen the internal hex screw on crank handle side.
   DO NOT REMOVE THIS HEX SCREW
   
6. Loosen black plastic bushing and remove the crank handle shaft.
   
7. The reel should now be easily removed from the frame.
8. Remove the Phillip's head screws along the side of the water connection spool end. The side panel will come off.
   
9. Slide the old elbow out and replace with the new elbow.
