CHARGING
Note: Charge the product for 60 minutes before using it for the first time and subsequent charging.
Note: The charging status of the battery is shown by the battery indicator (5) and displayed in percent using four white LED indicators (25%, 50%, 75% and 100%).
Note: The plug symbol (6) lights up continuously when the battery is nearly drained. Cordless use of the product can then only continue for a short time.
Note: A quick charge for one shave takes about 5 minutes.
Note: A fully charged battery provides approx. 60 minutes of cordless use.
Note: In order to lengthen the service life of the rechargeable battery, it is recommended that
- The product is used regularly and without long storage periods.
- The rechargeable battery is emptied before it is charged (plug symbol (6) flashes red).
- Switch o the product using the ON/OFF button (3).
- Connect the connector plug (8) to the power socket (7) on the product.
- Plug the power adapter (9) into an easily accessible mains socket which has a voltage that corresponds to that indicated on the type plate.
- During the charging process, the plug symbol (6) will light up and the battery indicator (5) will display the battery charging status:
One LED lights up: the battery is 25% charged.
Two LEDs light up: the battery is 50% charged.
Three LEDs light up: the battery is 75% charged.
Four LEDs light up: the battery is 100% charged.
Once the battery is fully charged, the plug symbol (6) will no longer be lit up.
OPERATION
- Please do not use the product if you have an open wound, cut, sunburn or blister.
- The product must only be used on the face. It is not intended for shaving, contouring or trimming hairs on other parts of the body, or for hair on the head.
- The product can be powered using a rechargeable battery or a power adapter.
- Note: If the product stops working whilst in use due to an empty or inefficient rechargeable battery, you can continue trimming by connecting the power adapter (9).
Using the product with the power adapter
- Switch the product o using the ON/OFF button (3) before switching to the mains power supply.
- Connect the connector plug (8) to the power socket (7) on the product.
- Plug the power adapter (9) into an easily accessible mains socket which has a voltage that corresponds to that indicated on the type plate.
- Take off the blade cover (13).

- Switch the product on using the ON/OFF button (3).
Using the product without the power adapter (battery operation)
- Make sure that the battery is charged (see chapter 'Charging') and switch the product off using the ON/OFF button (3).
- Unplug the power adapter (9) from the socket and disconnect the connector plug (8) from the power socket (7).
- Take off the blade cover (14) (see Fig. J).
- Switch the product on using the ON/OFF button (3).
Transport lock
If the transport lock is activated, the lock symbol (10) lights up for a few seconds when a button is pressed.
- Press and hold the ON / OFF button (3) for approx. 3 seconds to activate / deactivate the transport lock. The lock symbol (10) will flash three times.
- Connecting the power adapter (9) deactivates the transport lock. It cannot be activated during corded use.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
- The appliance must be unplugged before cleaning.
- The Comb Attachment should be cleaned in running water. Ensure it is completely dry before using it.
- Clean the blades with the Cleaning Brush provided to remove remaining loose beard clippings.
- Clean the housing of the beard trimmer with a soft, dry cloth.
- Store everything in a clean, dust-free and dry place.

Do not allow children to play with the product. Never allow children to clean or maintain this product unsupervised.
- Detach the hand-held part from the supply cord before cleaning it in water.

This symbol indicates that the product can be cleaned under running water. First disconnect the product from the connector plug. - Do not use this product near baths, shower trays or other vessels containing water.
- Never reach for any appliance that has fallen into water when it is charging. Switch o the power supply at the mains immediately and unplug. Do not re-use until the product has been inspected and approved by a qualified electrician.
- Never touch the power adapter with moist or wet hands, especially when you plug it into the socket or pull it out of the socket.
- Never submerge the product or the mains cable with the power adapter in water or any other liquid.
- Do not use the product while bathing.
- For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your electrician for advice.
- Only use the included original power adapter for corded use.
- Do not swap the attachments while the product is switched on.
- Do not use the product if you detect any kind of visible, external damage. Never use a damaged product.
- Repairs should only be carried out by a specialist dealer. Improper repairs may result in considerable danger to the user.
- Do not use a defective blade, a defective blade attachment or comb attachment with the product as these could have sharp edges.
- Connect the mains cable to the product before plugging the power adapter into a socket.
- Always switch the product o before attaching or replacing the blade attachment or the comb attachment, as well as before cleaning.
- Please do not use the product in areas where you have an open wound, cuts, sunburn or blisters.
- Only use the product for trimming/shaving beard hairs. It is not intended for shaving, contouring or trimming hairs on other parts of the body, or for hair on the head.
- The battery must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped.
- The appliance must be disconnected from the supply mains before removing the battery.
- The battery is to be disposed of safely.
