informationQuickly press Lock button twice to activate the vehicle locating function. Turn signals will flash and horn beeps.

Mechanical Key
Mechanical Key

  • Press and hold the release button at the back of the intelligent key.
  • Take out the mechanical key.

Intelligent Key Battery
Replace the intelligent key battery when its detection distance gets shorter than normal or this vehicle cannot recognize intelligent key due to low battery power.

  1. Pull out the mechanical key.
  2. Insert the mechanical key into the opening as shown below.

  3. Hold the handle and gently turn clockwise to pry the key back cover.
  4. Open the cover.
  5. Replace with a new battery model: 3V, CR2032 and the positive side facing upward.

  6. Close the covers properly.

Intelligent Entry System

Unlock/Lock button at driver's door handle

Keyless Locking

  • Turn OFF ignition switch.
  • Close all doors and trunk lid.
  • Press the unlock/lock button above.
  • Turn signal will turn on a few seconds.

Keyless Unlocking

  • Approach vehicle with intelligent key.
  • Press the unlock/lock button above.
  • Turn signal will flash for a few times.

Remote Locking

  • Press the lock button on the intelligent key to lock all doors.
  • Turn signal will turn on a few seconds.
  • Alarm sound will trigger if any doors, engine hood or trunk lid is not closed.

Remote Unlocking

  • Press the unlock button on the intelligent key to unlock all doors.
  • Turn signal will flashes several times.
  • Press and hold the trunk unlock button to open the trunk lid.

Door Handle

  1. Outside door handle - pull to open the door from outside vehicle.
  2. Inside door handle - pull to open the door from inside vehicle.

Automatic Locking and Unlocking

  1. Automatic re-locking: no doors and trunk lid is opened within 30s.
  2. Automatic locking during driving: after vehicle started and meet specific speed and period requirements.
  3. Automatic unlocking: during engine turned OFF.
  4. Collision unlocking: severe front impact

Trunk Lid

  • Press and hold trunk lid unlock button to open trunk lid from inside vehicle.

  • Unlock the doors. Press the exterior trunk lid switch to open the trunk lid.
  • Approach the trunk area with valid intelligent key. Press the exterior trunk lid switch to open the trunk lid.
  • Multimedia display setting: disable Driver Door Only.

Opening the Trunk Lid Using Intelligent Key

  • Turn OFF ignition switch
  • Press and hold the trunk unlock button at intelligent key.
  • Lift the trunk lid to open it.

Nearby Auto Unlock Trunk*

  • Enable Nearby Auto Unlock Trunk function in multimedia display setting.
  • Approach the trunk area with valid intelligent key for a few seconds.
  • Turn signal will flash few times and trunk lid will automatically unlocked.

Front Seats

Headrest Adjustment

  • Press and hold the adjustment button under the front seat headrest.
  • Lift up or press down the headrest to the required height, and then release the button.
  • Gently press or lift the headrest again until a click is heard, to ensure that the headrest is locked in place.

  • Press and hold the adjustment button under the rear seat headrest.
  • Lift up or press down the headrest to the required height, and then release the button.
  • Gently press or lift the headrest again until a click is heard, to ensure that the headrest is locked in place.

Folding Rear Seatback

  • Put the rear seat headrest to the lowest position.
  • Pull up the unlocking strap on the rear seat's seatback.
  • Fully fold the seatback on the corresponding side.

Unfolding Rear Seatback

  • Flip back the backrest and push hard backwards until the corresponding seat is locked.

Seat Belt

Three-point Seat Belt

  1. Pick up the latch plate and pull the seat belt across your body. Do not twist the seat belt.

  1. Press the latch plate into the buckle until a "click" sound is heard.

  1. The lap belt can be tightened if the shoulder belt is pulled up.

Starting the Vehicle

Intelligent Key Detection
Make sure the intelligent key is inside the vehicle or place it at the the front end of the centre console as shown in picture.

Ignition Switch

  1. Close all doors.
  2. Make sure that the gear is in Neutral (N) or Park (P) position.
  3. Place the intelligent key at the intelligent key detection area.
  4. Press and hold the brake pedal.
  5. Press the ignition switch to directly start the engine.
  6. Set gearshift lever to Drive (D) or Reverse (R) position to move the vehicle.

When the ignition switch is set to ON position or the engine is started, some warning lamps will perform self-checking and stay illuminate for few seconds before they are turned off. If there is any fault causing warning lamps stay illuminate on or suddenly lit on during driving, pay attention to it and contact an authorised PROTON service outlet for maintenance as soon as possible. Otherwise, severe casualty or property loss may occur.
The warning lamp may be stay illuminate after starting, or it will illuminate during driving, which indicates that the vehicle may have a serious failure. Contact an authorised PROTON service outlet for maintenance as soon as possible. information
Black icons in the table are displayed as white in the combination instrument display screen.
