Your hardware packet will contain one spare of each type of hardware, in case the cat knocks something off the workbench and it rolls under the bookshelf.

2.5mm and 3mm hex keys
Small adjustable wrench for lock nuts.

Assembly Instructions

Please read and review all of the instructions before starting the the installation of the tray on your IC705 frame.

1. Loosen and completely remove the two nylon insert nuts that secure the handle to the frame. Put these aside, we will use them again when we re-attach the handle.
   
2. Pull the bolts towards the center to release the handle and screen cover assembly, but don't completely remove the bolts. Leave them in place to keep the handle and screen cover together.
   
3. Remove the original handle brackets. You may wish to save these should you ever decide to remove the tray from your frame. Put the two M4 x 12 screws aside, we will use them again reassembling the frame.
   
4. Now let's preassemble the tray. Attach the tray to the replacement handle brackets using two M4 x 10mm screws, but do not tighten the screws more than finger tight at this time. We will tighten them fully in a later step.
   
5. Thread the two elastics through the inside U-shaped holes in the tray. When you pull on them they will seat close to the back of the tray, and should remain there on their own.
   
6. Attach the brackets holding the tray to the frame, using the screws you put aside in step 3. Line the brackets up flush with the front of the frame, and tighten securely. Then you can fully tighten the socket head screws holding the tray to the brackets.
   
7. Now you can replace the handle and frame assembly, threading the bolts through the holes in the new brackets. This can be a bit easier if you sight through the bracket holes from the sides, to get the bolts started. Once the bolts are through, replace the nylon nuts you put aside in step 1, and adjust the tension of the handle and screen cover to your preference.
   
8. That completes the installation of the frame. Secure your MAT-705 tuner to the tray using the two elastics, slipping them around the tuner and into the notches at the rear edge of the frame.
   
   You can also use the elastics to manage the cables connecting the tuner to the IC-705.
   
   And the tray can be used for other items if desired, such as a small battery, or trail snacks.
