  • Page 20 DMX channel overview channel Function Description Position rough This channel controls the position of the unit, with the speed (DMX channel 3). This rough position works together with the fine position (DMX channel 2). The rough position and the fine position are multiplied in to a 16 bit channel. The rough position is the MSB.
  • Page 21: Linear Or Circular Mode

Since circular mode always takes the shortest path to the wanted position, even if it means crossing the zero-point it makes it simple to run continuously for multiple revolutions. To use circular mode additional magnetic sensors must be installed on the Track Runner. Please contact sales@wahlberg.dk for additional information. 352-353.805.007 Date: 2023-07-07...
  • Page 22: Setting The Movement Range In Linear Mode (Dmx Operation)

Setting the movement range in linear mode (DMX operation) When the unit is ready, the first step is to set the soft-limit left and right positions. See channel description for channel 4, 5 and 6 on the previously page. When the range has been set once on channel 6 it is saved and does not need to be set again unless a new range is needed, or when the unit has been manually operated or removed from the track.

Setting the movement range in circular mode (DMX operation) From August 2023 circular mode was introduced to the Track Runner. It can be used if the Track Profile makes a loop so that the Track Runner can run continuously one way as shown below. position position Zero-point...
  • Page 24: Duty-Cycle

Position slippage The Track Runner with a friction wheel uses an external encoder to track its position as accurately as possible. However, it will never be 100% precise and its position will shift over time. The Track Runner position will slowly drift/slip to one side. Over time this slip will add-up. This means that if a desired position is at 100 cm it will go to 100 cm the first time.
