  • Page 2 This instruction guide covers the installation of the Eco Battery 51V 105Ah and 51V 160Ah batteries and associated components in the 2010-2023 Polaris Ranger EV models factory equipped with lead-acid batteries.
  • Page 3 W A R N I N G ! Working with lithium batteries can be dangerous. Safety gear such as protective eyewear, insulated gloves, and insulated tools are required for safe installation. If you do not fully understand this guide and are not trained to work with Lithium batteries, please stop and seek professional installation.
  • Page 4 i n s t a l l a t i o n Turn the key to the off position. Block the cart and set the parking brake. Remove the seat. Tilt the bed and disconnect the shock absorber for better access. Remove the rear mud guards.
  • Page 5 i n s t a l l a t i o n Remove the plastic battery tray. If the metal tray is dirty or rusty, now would be a good time to clean it up and paint it, if desired. Remove the floor access cover.
  • Page 6 i n s t a l l a t i o n Open the hood and locate the back of the factory battery meter. Remove the wiring harness from the meter by releasing the retaining clip and pulling straight out. Remove the plastic clip securing the meter in the dash.
  • Page 7 i n s t a l l a t i o n Install the Eco Battery meter using the supplied hardware. Route the meter cable from the dash towards the battery compartment, following the factory wiring harness. Connect the two white connectors to the back of the Eco Battery meter.

Install the Eco Battery charger mounting plate using the (4) supplied M6x20 bolts and M6 nuts.   • Page 9 i n s t a l l a t i o n Install the Eco Battery charger with the (4) supplied M6x20 bolts and M6 nuts. Ensure the battery is off by pressing and releasing the power button until the green LED is off.
  • Page 10 i n s t a l l a t i o n Connect the main positive, main negative, and charging cables to the battery with the M8x16 bolts found in the battery box. Connect the Eco Battery meter cable to the battery. Connect the charger CAN plug to either of the CAN receptacles on the meter cable.
  • Page 11 i n s t a l l a t i o n Reinstall the rear mud guards. Using the charge port support ring as a template, mark and drill the four holes for the charge port. Make sure that the charge port and ring are oriented as shown before drilling the holes.
  • Page 12 i n s t a l l a t i o n Tidy any wiring and cables making sure nothing will come in contact with the propshaft or other moving parts. Reinstall the floor access cover. Locate the two fuse holders directly below the seat on the frame rails.
  • Page 13 i n s t a l l a t i o n Reconnect the shock absorber on the bed. 2010 Models We advise keeping the factory charger in place as the 12 volt reducer is built into the charger itself. YOU WILL STILL NEED INSTALL THE ECO BATTERY CHARGER TO CHARGE THE BATTERY AS THE FACTORY CHARGER WILL ONLY BE USED FOR THE 12 VOLT REDUCER FUNCTION.
  • Page 14 i n s t a l l a t i o n 2011+ Models You have the option of removing the factory charger or leaving it in place. If you remove it, you will need to follow these steps to complete the charger interlock circuit- Locate the charger communication harness and charging leads as shown.

    i n s t a l l a t i o n Secure any loose wires and cables. Double check all wiring. If you are not 100% sure all wiring is correct, do not power on the battery. If you are confident the wiring is correct, power on the battery by pressing/releasing the on/off button.
