  • Page 7 Purge the PIC Box Before the PIC box is removed from a bucket or shipped to Kodak, all fluids must be purged from it. If the PIC box tilts before it is purged, fluids can spill inside the PIC box and damage it.

  • Page 13 53. Do “Remove the PIC Box” on page 13. PIC Box Removal/Installation These PIC box removal and installation procedures are used for a Kodak Prosper S-Series bucket. For PIC box removal and installation with a different system, refer to the manufacturer’s manual or local work instructions for the correct procedure.

  • Page 15 PIC Box Supplement PIC Box Removal/Installation 8. Remove the six screws and three tooling ball clamps that attach the PIC box to the bucket (Figure 7). CAUTION Do not hold the PIC box by the bottom. The eyelid can be damaged easily.

  • Page 17 PIC Box Supplement PIC Box Removal/Installation 8. Carefully put the umbilical connector plate on the PIC box umbilical bracket (Figure 9). Tighten the four captive screws finger tight. 9. Connect these cables: a. Ground cable at GND b. Communication cable P2 at J2 c.
  • Page 18 16. Do “Turn On the Print Station” in the Prosper S-Series Printer Operator’s Guide. NOTE If the PIC box is not installed on a Kodak Versamark DC3800 Carriage, refer to a manufacturer’s manual or local work instructions for the correct procedure to move the PIC box.
  • Page 19 PIC box is unpacked, keep all of the original packaging materials in the shipping container. Pack the PIC Box Do this procedure to pack the PIC box before it is shipped to Kodak. CAUTION Only advanced operators or maintenance personnel who are approved to work on a Prosper S-Series Print Station can do these procedures.
