WARNING!
This is designed to be a personal use product Use of this breast pump by any other than the original owner presents health and performance risks and void the product warranty

Indication for use

This is a powered breast pump to be used by lactating women to express and collect milk from their breasts. This is intended for a single user.

Pumping Guide

  1. Center the assembled breast shields over your nipples. It is important that your nipples are drawn evenly into the center of the flange and not distorted in any way.
  2. Press the on/off button and press massage button "Massage button symbol" for massage mode before pumping.
  3. The massage mode will encourage the letdown reflex which triggers the start of milk flow

TIP - to help letdown, try a warm compress on the breast before pumping, thinking about your baby and most of all, relaxing, will help you to letdown your milk when expressing. Massaging the upper area of your breast can also assist draining the breast.

  1. Once your milk starts to flow, press the massage button again to switch to expression mode.
  2. Adjust the vacuum and cycle to find your preferred setting.
  3. Express milk from each breast for 10-15 minutes If single pumping, then alternate breasts.
  4. Tum pump off after few seconds later when pumping finished.

TIP - It is more effective to pump for a shorter time at more frequent intervals than to pump for a longer time at wider intervals If exclusively pumping, we suggest pumping every 2-3 hours, at least 8 times a day to maintain supply.
NOTE: EVEN WHEN YOU ARE USING THE BREAST PUMP, BREASTFEED YOUR BABY WHENEVER YOU CAN.

Always breastfeed your baby directly when you can, even when using this product. Ask your heathcare provider for personalised advice for your situation.

Disassemble and wash all parts of your breast shield kit that come into contact with your breast and breastmilk and wash in warm soapy water, then rinse in clean water and airdry.
Keep parts covered when not in use.

Baby feeding components that are used with breastmilk do not need sterilisation after every use. however you may wish to sterilise every few uses as a hygiene precaution and to remove fat residue.

All parts are dishwasher safe.
If required, the pump body can be cleaned with a damp(not wet) cloth.

NOTE: TO ELIMINATE CONDENSATION OR MILK IN THE TUBING, WASH AND DRY IT IMMEDIATELY. TO CLEAN MAIN BODY, WIPE MAIN BODY WITH A CLEAN DAMP CLOTH.

How to store breast milk

  • Make sure your hands are clean and dry before handling expressed breastmilk
  • Storage containers should be sterilised before being used to store breastmilk. If you intend to store your breastmilk in the same bottle or container you have expressed into, ensure it is sterilised before use. Spectra milk storage bags are presterilised.
  • Try not to touch the insides of the storage containers.
  • Seal the container with a solid lid or secure the ziplock seal if using Spectra milk storage bags. Label each container with the date the milk was pumped.
  • Breast milk that will be frozen should have at least one inch between the milk and the container lid. Frozen milk expands as it freezes.
  • Store milk away the freezer or refrigerator door to avoid changes in temperature that may compromise the milk.

How do I thaw and use stored breast milk

  • Always make sure to check the date on the milk's container before using. Do not use undated milk, or milk that has been stored too long.
  • Thaw frozen milk in the refrigerator or under cool, running water.
  • Heat the milk under warm, running water and gently swirl the container to mix the milk.
  • If warm water is not available, heat a pan of water on the stove. Once the water is warm, not boiling, remove the pan from the stove and place the milk container in the pan. Never warm the milk container directly on the stove.
  • Never microwave breast milk because microwaves can cause dangerous hot spots that could burn you or a baby.
  • Always test the temperature of the milk on the inside of your wrist before feeding it to a baby. The milk should feel warm, not hot
  • After thawing, milk should be stored in the refrigerator for no more than 24 hours.
