  • Page 2 Depending on what’s wrong, an improperly assembled pump can either not work at all, or work incorrectly risking irreparable damage to the motor. Assembling the Milk Collection Kit Follow these instructions if you have the Spectra S1, S2, S9 plus, or M1.
  • Page 3 Assembling the Backflow Protector Correctly assembling the backflow protector is so important. It prevents milk and moisture from entering your tubing which can cause irreparable damage to the motor, or worse, mould! Ensure that the backflow protector has been sterilized and allowed to completely dry on a clean paper towel prior to assembly.
  • Page 4 Milk Collection Kit for the Dew 350 The Dew 350 adheres to a slightly different assembly process than the other pumps. The major difference is that instead of backflow protectors, the milk collection kit uses backflow filters between the pump and the tubing to prevent moisture from entering the motor (see image below).

To assemble, make sure the tab on the underside of the membrane is inserted into the matching tab on the valve (the half-circle shaped hole).

For double pumping, each pump kit comes with a small splitter in the bag (there should be 2 in each box). Insert the splitter directly into the air port.
