READING AND STORING THE USER MANUAL

  • Read and familiarise yourself with all operating instructions before using this Carving Knife.
  • Before plugging your Carving Knife into the mains, visually check that it is intact and has not suffered any transit damage.
  • Check the voltage indicated on the data plate corresponds with that of the local network before connecting the appliance to the mains power supply.
  • DO NOT use this appliance with an extension cable.
  • DO NOT use this appliance with a programmer, timer, separate remote control system or any other device.
  • DO NOT immerse this appliance or its cord in water or any other liquids.
  • DO NOT leave this appliance within reach of children.
  • This appliance shall not be used by children from 0 to 8 years.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children.
  • DO NOT leave the appliance unattended during use.
  • DO NOT leave the appliance unattended whilst connected to the mains supply.
  • Always use this appliance on a solid, level, heat resistant surface.
  • Always unplug the power cord after the appliance has been used, before it is cleaned and whilst being repaired.
  • If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, it's service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • DO NOT operate the appliance with a damaged plug or cord, after a malfunction or after being dropped or damaged in any way.
  • Regular periodic checks should be carried out on the mains cable to ensure no damage is evident. Should there be any signs of damage the appliance should not be used.
  • Repairs to electrical appliances should only be performed by a qualified technician. Improper repairs may place user at serious risk.
  • DO NOT allow the mains cable to hang over sharp edges or come into contact with hot surfaces.
  • DO NOT run the mains cable under carpets, rugs etc.
  • DO NOT use this appliance outdoors.
  • This appliance is intended for household use only and should not be used for industrial or commercial purposes.
  • DO NOT use this accessories or attachments with this appliance other than those supplied or recommended by the supplier.
  • DO NOT use this appliance for anything other than its intended use.
  • Allow the unit to cool before storage.
  • DO NOT push objects into any openings as damage to the appliance and/or electric shock may occur.
  • Switch off the appliance and disconnect from the mains supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
  • Unplug after each use, grasp the plug not the cord.
  • DO NOT touch the blades whilst the carving knife is connected to the mains.
  • Wash the blades in warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.


The blades on this carving knife are very sharp; extreme caution should be taken when cleaning.

Before the first time you use your Carving Knife

  • Remove all packing materials (retain the protective blade cover) and discard responsibly.
  • Wash the Blades (6) in warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Do not use harsh detergents, metal or nylon brushes/scourers as these may damage the unit.

Inserting the Blades (6)

  1. Holding the Blades (6) with the dull side in the palm of your hand, place both Blades (6) parallel to each other with the metal pin facing in.
  2. Press the Blade Grips (5) together to lock the Blades (6) in place.
  3. Grip both Blades (6) together at the Blade Grips (5) and insert into the Motor Housing (4).
  4. Ensure that the Blades (6) are firmly inserted in place by gently pulling the Blades (6) towards you, as if you are trying to remove.

    To avoid injury it is recommended to have the protective blade over in place whilst following the above step.
  5. The Carving Knife should now be ready to use.

Using your Carving Knife

  1. Insert the Mains Plug (2) into a suitable mains socket.

    Do not plug into the mains supply before the Blades (6) are inserted. Do not use with wet hands.
  2. Press and hold the On/Off Button (8) to switch the appliance on.
  3. To carve food such as roast meat joints, guide the Blades (6) through the food.
    information With the dual blade carving action it is not necessary to move the knife back and forth.
  4. To stop carving at any point release the On/Off Button (8) and the appliance will turn off.

information This Carving Knife is not suitable for cutting through bones as this will cause the blades to dull.


Do not continuously operate the Carving Knife for long periods as the motor may overheat. Allow the knife to rest for 30 seconds after 1 minute of usage.

Removing the Blades (6)


Make sure the appliance is not connected to the mains supply before removing or replacing the blades.

  1. Unplug the Carving Knife from the mains supply.
  2. Press the Eject Button (7), the Blades (6) will automatically be released from the Motor Housing (4).
  3. The Blades (6) can now be removed for cleaning.

Cleaning and storing your Carving Knife

  • Always disconnect the Carving Knife from the mains power supply before cleaning.
  • Detach the Blades (6) from the Motor Housing (4) as per the above instructions.
  • Wipe clean the outside of the Motor Housing (4) with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  • Wash the Blades (6) in warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly afterwards.
  • Do not clean any part of your carving Knife in a dishwasher.
  • Do not submerge any part of the Motor Housing (4) or mains cable in water or any other liquids.
  • Never clean any part of the Motor Housing (4) with harsh or abrasive cleaners.
  • Place the protective blade cover over the Blades (6) and place into the original packaging. Store away from children.

Non-Rewireable Mains Plug

If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead and should the fuse need replacing, you must use an ASTA approved one (conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating). Never use a plug with the fuse cover missing. If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
If you need to remove the plug – DISCONNECT FROM THE MAINS – and then cut it off the mains lead and immediately dispose of it safely. Never attempt to reuse the plug or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a danger of electric shock.
