Chopper
The chopper is used for chopping cheese, nuts, onions, herbs, raw vegetables and fruits. Frozen foods should be thawed before shredding. Exceedingly tough foods like ice cubes, coffee beans etc. should not be used.
- Carefully remove the plastic protection from the attachment's blade. Hold it by the handle at all times.
- Place the blade attachment in the centre of the mini-foodprocessor bowl, so that it clicks into place and the markers face one another. Always use the anti-slip base along with the mini-foodprocessor container.
- Fill the jug and close the lid.
- Place the motor housing on the top of the chopper jug and tighten it until you hear it click.
- To switch on, use the on/off switch. Hold the motor housing with one hand and the chopper jug with the other.
- Be careful not to use the minifoodprocessor for more than 10 seconds at a time for more solid foods. Shred several times.

Mixer attachments
Beater and dough hook
Use the beater to mix batters for sweet and savoury foods, as well as sauces, fillings and creams.
- Insert the beater or dough hook into the appropriate gear component. Always use the attachments as a pair, never alone.
- Only mix heavy doughs for short periods at a time and regularly allow the hand blender to cool down. This protects the motor. Sam is not suitable for heavy bread dough.
Food processor attachments
Dicing and julienne cutting inserts
The dicing and julienne cutting inserts cut raw and cooked vegetables and fruit into cubes and julienne shapes. Do not use them for frozen ingredients, stone fruit, or meat with bones.
- Place the dicing or julienne cutting inserts into the recess of the interior lid with the attachment's blades facing upwards. Exercise particular care to prevent injury.
- Fix the blade attachment onto the interior lid and close the brackets to securely connect both parts.
- Place the insert into the jug so that it is straight and secure.
- Replace the lid and turn it counterclockwise until it locks into place.
- Attach the hand blender's motor housing to the lid by turning until it clicks.
- Remove the plunger and only then add the ingredients.
- Switch Sam on and use the plunger to push down the ingredients.
- Once the ingredients have been processed, remove the motor housing by pressing the button where it is connected and remove the hand blender by lifting it.
- Remove the lid by turning it clockwise.
- Remove the interior lid with the insert, release the brackets, remove the blade insert, and also the dicing or julienne cutting inserts.
- Remove the ingredients from the jug.
Tip:
- Cut the ingredients to a size such that they fit through the feed chute without getting stuck.
- To process several ingredients in succession, start with the softest ingredients and progress to the hardest.
- The insert can easily bend if they are exposed to excessive loads. Should this happen, carefully bend them back into their correct shape.
Cutting and grating disks
Use the cutting disks to cut or grate vegetables, fruit, and cheese. Please note that both sides of the cutting disks can be used.
- Place the julienne cutting insert for the grating and cutting disks into the jug.
- Place the attachment you wish to use on the pin and ensure that it is secured well.
- Lift the grating and cutting disk and remove the pin.
- Remove the processed ingredients.
Tip:
- For the ingredients to be cut into larger pieces, use a low speed. For finer processing, increase the speed.
- We do not necessarily recommend processing soft fruit.
Speed settings
Press and hold the on / off button to start up the device. Using the continuous speed control, you can determine the speed: the firmer and longer you push, the faster the device will work. To slow down Sam you can simple put less pressure on the button. Please keep in mind that the higher the speed of the food processor, the finer the ingredients will become.

Cleaning and care
Your hand blender should be cleaned and dried after each use as follows. Lack of or improper care of the device can affect your Sam Hand Blender's functionality.
- Always disconnect the hand blender's power plug before cleaning.
- Engine part, power cable and power plug must not get wet. Clean the engine housing with a slightly damp cloth.
- The jug, whisk, beaters, and dough hooks as well as the chopping jug can all be cleaned in the dishwasher. Please clean the remaining parts by hand as they are not suitable for washing in the dishwasher.
- Of the food processor accessories, the jug, blades, and dicing and julienne cutting inserts can be washed in the dishwasher. Wash all other parts by hand.
- Clean all plastic parts on the top shelf of a dishwasher and use a programme with at most 60°C to keep them from losing their shape. Make sure that the plastic part is not jammed.
- If you process food colouring or strongly colouring food with your Sam Hand Blender, attachments or engine housings may discolour. After use, wipe the device with a cloth moistened with vegetable oil to remove the colour. Clean it as described above.
- If you use the chopper to process exceedingly salty foods, be sure to rinse the blade immediately after use.
- Make sure to always clean all parts thoroughly with hot water and washing-up liquid that come in contact with food.
Trouble shooting
If the device does not work properly, please check the following steps:
- Check if the manual was followed precisely and correctly.
- Check the following table for possible reasons.
- Check if all fuses are working.
Problem | Solution |
My hand blender won't grind the ingredients properly | If necessary, add some more liquid, so that your hand blender can do a perfect job. Cut food into smaller pieces before processing. |
My hand blender has trouble properly mixing all the ingredients | Be mindful of the container's minimum and maximum capacity. The attachment should be immersed deeply enough. |
The device will suddenly switch off | Be careful not to shred food that is too touch, as this may overheat the engine and the overheat protection will shut the device off. You should not blend soft ingredients for more than one minute or solid ingredients for longer than 15 seconds at a time. |
The device becomes unusually loud | Use your hand blender only inside the designated container – never in pots, pans etc. This might damage the container or the attachment of your hand blender as well as the vessels. Use your hand blender only for soft to firm but not for too tough or frozen foods. |
The chopper will not shred the ingredients properly | To make your chopper's job easier and to achieve ideal results, you should cut the ingredients into pieces and then shred them in portions. |
The whisk attachment won't stiffen the cream | Please note that the container and whisk should be fat-free and the cream should be cold (below 10°C). |
My mayonnaise curdles during preparation | Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature and only add the oil gradually whilst blending. If possible, keep the blender at the bottom of the container and slowly pull it up towards the end of the process. If your mayonnaise has already clotted, you can save it by adding 1 to 2 tablespoons of boiling water. |
Should your Sam show any other defects, please contact a professional repair service provider. Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
