WHAT IS COLD BREW COFFEE?

Cold brewing is the process of steeping medium to coarse ground coffee in cool water temperatures for 12 to 24 hours. By not introducing heat to the brewing process, you are rewarded with an incredibly bold, favorable coffee, which is also noticeably smoother and lower in acidity when compared to warm brewed coffee.

Depending on how long a cold brew is steeped, the resulting coffee can be from mild to quite strong. Typically, a mild brew is ready to drink, and a stronger brew results in more of a concentrate and is meant to be served with milk or diluted with water. Making a batch of cold brew concentrate is an excellent way to extend the yield of the cold brew, giving you coffee for an entire week with one batch.

While most people enjoy cold brew as part of a chilled or iced coffee experience, it should be noted that heating cold brew retains its smoother flavors and lower acidity. Heating cold brew coffee is a great way to enjoy its enhanced taste while drinking hot coffee as well.

With the Vinci Express Cold Brew, you can now enjoy a delicious cold brew in about the same time it takes to brew a standard pot of brewed coffee. Aside from being fast, the Vinci Express Cold Brew will save you a ton of money over the cost of Cold Brew from your local market or coffee shop and is an easy, delicious way to enjoy the cold brew coffee you love at home.

HOW TO USE YOUR EXPRESS COLD BREW

Make sure that all surfaces are all clean of any unwanted minerals or coffee grounds before using. This will ensure that the brewer will provide the best cup of cold brewed coffee.

How To: See it in Action!!

  1. Fill the Carafe with fresh, room temperature water, filtered water is best (or recommended). Never fill past the Fill Line.

warning NOTE: Always use room temperature water when FILL LINE brewing.

    NEVER USE HOT WATER
Using hot water will void warranty
information TIP: Remember, water makes up over 99% of all brewed coffee. For the best brewing results, always use good quality, filtered water.
  2. If not already in place, attach the Filter Basket Bottom Cap to the Filter Basket by turning clockwise until fastened tightly. Using the included 2 tablespoon scoop add approximately 7 scoops of medium to coarse grind coffee into the Filter Basket. NEVER exceed 8 scoops.
HOW TO USE YOUR EXPRESS COLD BREW - Step 1
warning NOTE: Do not overpack or overfill the coffee. The coffee should reach almost the top of the basket, leaving about 1/2" space between the top of the grounds and top of the basket.
  3. Place the Filter Basket Top Cap onto the top of the Filter Basket, pushing it until it is fully sealed.
  4. Attach the Filter Basket to the Control Lid by inserting it into the bottom of the Control Lid and turning clockwise until it is secure, and no longer spins. Before tightening, make sure the Filter Basket is correctly aligned so that the threading is straight.
HOW TO USE YOUR EXPRESS COLD BREW - Step 2

Make sure all surfaces are clean of debris especially around the O-Ring Seal. This will prevent any leaks or malfunctions during the brewing process.
  5. Place the Control Lid with the attached Filter Basket on the Carafe. Make sure the Filter Basket is fully submerged in the water, and the notch on the Control Lid is aligned with the Carafe Handle.
  6. Attach the electrical Power Cord to the connection on Control Lid, then plug into an electrical outlet. Make sure that your Express Cold Brew is on a flat, secure surface for brewing.
HOW TO USE YOUR EXPRESS COLD BREW - Step 3

  • If the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug, and try to re-insert the plug into the outlet.
  • Do not force the plug into the outlet.
  1. Rotate the Control Knob to select your desired brew-strength.
  2. Press the Brew button to start the brew cycle. The Brew button is illuminated red while the brew cycle is in progress.
  3. Within seconds the clear water will begin to transform into cold brew! When the brew cycle is completed, the Brew button will illuminate Blue, and there will be two short audible "brew finished" beeps. Your cold brew yield will depend on the amount of water absorbed by the grounds.
  4. Upon completion of the brew cycle, partially lift the Control Lid from the Carafe leaving just the bottom portion of the Filter Basket inside the Carafe. With the Control Lid hovering over the Carafe, (but not in the cold brew), press the Brew button so the pump will start and force air through the Filter Basket expelling excess water from the coffee grounds. When no more water is visibly draining from the Filter Basket (typically about 20 seconds), press the Brew button again to stop the pump.
  5. Place the Control Lid with attached Filter Basket into the Cleaning Cup. See Care and Cleaning instructions for cleaning instructions.
  6. Place the Serving Lid on the Carafe. You are now ready to serve your cold brew or store it in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
