INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

To minimise the risk of injury from improper and unsafe use of this cane, read these instructions and safety precautions before using.
Intended Purpose
This cane is a walking aid to assist those who have reduced mobility.
Safety Precautions
- Consult a healthcare professional before using any assisted mobility device.
- Not to be used by persons heavier than 159 kg (25 st).
- Not intended to support the full weight of the user.
- Not intended for use on ice or other slippery surfaces as it has the potential to slip.
- Do not use unless individual segments are joined together securely, and the push button is fully engaged.
- When assembling individual segments, keep fingers away to avoid being pinched.
- Do not stretch the internal elastic cord more than necessary to assemble or disassemble the segments. Do not use the cane if the elastic cord is cut, frayed, or damaged.
- Applying downward pressure on the base (e.g. stepping on the base) while lifting the handle can cause the cane segments to separate and the cane to collapse, possibly causing you to fall.
- If the handle or pivoting base becomes loose, or if the cane becomes damaged, stop using the cane immediately.
Indication
The cane is suitable for use in the case of: walking impairments due to limitation of the active or passive musculoskeletal system; coordination difficulties during walking and reduced resilience.
Contraindication
The cane is not suitable for use in the case of: perception disorders, severe loss of balance, inability to stand, user weight of above 159 kg

SURFACE TIPS
Although the HurryCane® is famous for providing superior stability on any terrain, it won't stand alone on uneven surfaces like these:

MAINTENANCE
- Check the elastic cord before every use. Do not use the cane if the cord is cut, frayed, or damaged.
- Check the handle and pivoting base are secure.
- Periodically check the screws on the feet to be sure they are tight.
- Replace the feet every six months. Contact your local distributor to purchase new feet.
- Clean the cane occasionally using water and a mild detergent.

RESET THE FLEX
The pivoting base of a new HurryCane ® is designed to have less flexibility initially, but will adapt to the user's movement over time. As the cane adapts to your movements, your HurryCane ® may need to have its flex reset when you want the cane to stand beside you without holding on to it. Simply 'reset the flex' by following these 3 easy steps:
- Pivot
Keeping base firmly on ground, move handle in a full circle.

- Centre
Move handle directly above base.

- Release
Carefully let go.
NOTE: If the cane falls over, you can raise it easily by putting your foot on the base and pressing down.
