Marley Bag of Riddim - Portable Stereo System Manual

Introduction

We are honored you have selected Bag of Riddim to become part of your music experience. Bag of Riddim is a portable, two-way, stereo sound system which works with iPod and iPhone connected via the front docking area and hundreds of other devices via the auxiliary input. The system uses two high-output, long-throw 4.5" (114mm) woofers in a ported enclosure, two 1" (25mm) tweeters and a powerful amplifier. The system also includes a convenient carry bag. Additional bag options make it easy to change the look of your Bag of Riddim.

Everything You Need to Jam

The Bag of Riddim comes with the following items:

Powering Your Device

Bag of Riddim can be powered by a wall outlet, six (6) D-cell batteries (not included) or an optional 12VDC car power outlet (not included).

Using a Wall Outlet

Insert the AC power supply cord into the Bag of Riddim.
Insert wall plug cord connector into the power supply.
Insert wall plug into an appropriate wall outlet.

Using Batteries

Note: Use only high quality alkaline batteries.

Remove the battery door on the bottom of your Bag of Riddim by loosening the two screws with a coin or flat-head screwdriver.
Install six (6) D-cell batteries in the orientations shown on the floor of the battery compartment.
Replace the battery door making sure the two screws are securely tightened.

Using a Car Power Outlet

Plug the power cord into your Bag of Riddim.
Plug the car power plug into a car power outlet.

Connecting Your Music Devices

Connecting your iPod or iPhone

Dock your iPod or iPhone on the Bag of Riddim as shown. While docked, your device's battery will charge until full.

The dock connector is designed for iPod and iPhone devices only. Attempting to connect any other device can result in damage to the device and the connector.

Connecting other devices

The auxiliary input on the bottom of the docking area of the Bag of Riddim allows you to connect other audio devices to the system. Simply connect your device to the AUX input on the Bag of Riddim using the 3.5mm stereo mini cable (included).

Connecting multiple devices

When an iPod or iPhone is docked and another device is connected to the AUX input, only the docked iPod or iPhone will play through the Bag of Riddim. To listen to the AUX source you must disconnect the docked device.

Easy To Use

When the system is powered and a device is connected, you are ready to enjoy your Bag of Riddim.

Touch the power icon on the top of the dock area to turn your Bag of Riddim on. Touch and hold the power icon again to turn your Bag of Riddim off. The red LED on the power icon indicates if the Bag of Riddim is on.
Increase or decrease the volume on the Bag of Riddim by touching and/or holding the – and + buttons until the desired volume is reached. You can also adjust the system volume using the controls on your docked music source.

The Bag of Riddim is designed to work with speakers facing upward or forward. When the unit is facing forward, it is important to place the unit on a level surface. This prevents the iPod or iPhone from tilting and putting unnecessary strain on the connector.

Important Safety Information

Follow and keep these instructions.
Heed all warnings.
Do not use this apparatus near water.
Clean only with a dry cloth.
Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plug, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.
