3. Starting up the device

3.1 To remove the back cover
● Make sure your device is turned off.
● Firmly hold the device with the front panel facing down.
● Slide your finger into the notch at the bottom left corner of the device and gently lift open the back cover.
3.2 To install the SIM card
● Remove the battery if it is installed.
● Locate the SIM card slot marked 1, then insert the SIM card in the direction shown in the outline on the device with its metal contacts facing down.
o Please note that the iO Light only supports Micro SIM cards. If you have a Standard sized or Nano SIM card only, please contact your network provider who will
be able to best assist you.
● Slide the SIM card completely into the slot.
● Should you wish to insert a second SIM card, please follow this same procedure and insert the SIM card into SIM slot 2.
3.3 To install a memory card
If you wish to store additional media on your device; such as images, videos, music and files; you can purchase a memory card and install it in your new iO Light. The
iO Light supports memory cards up to 64GB in size.
● Locate the memory card slot on the upper part of the exposed left panel.
● Insert the memory card into the slot in the direction shown in the outline on the device with its metal contacts facing down.
o Please note that your device only supports MicroSD card
3.4 To install the battery
1. Align the battery's exposed metal contacts with the battery connectors at the bottom part of the battery compartment.
2. Insert the contacts side of the battery first and then gently slide the battery into place.
3. Attach the back cover, ensuring all catches around the back have popped back into place
3.5 Charging the Battery
New batteries are shipped partially charged. Before you start using your device, it is recommended that you install and charge the battery. Some batteries perform best
after several full charge/discharge cycles.
● Note: Only the AC adapter and USB sync cable provided with your device must be used to charge the device.
To charge your device
● Connect the USB data cable to your AC adapter
● Connect the USB data cable to the micro USB port on your device
● Then plug the AC adapter to an electrical outlet to start charging the battery
