MODULE! These are high-end modules
with unique functionality. Only the
highest quality components are used
and all inputs and outputs are
protected against undesired
overvoltage. When designing the Black
Series, we did not economise on the
module width, we put design and
usability first. Big knobs are assigned to
functions that make difference in sound.

The Erica Black HADSR Envelope
generator is feature-rich yet easily
operated five stage envelope
generator. Use it with Black CV
Expander to add more versatility.

Select EG operation mode.
OFF is for normal, gated
envelopes, AD loop is
industry standard, but Erica
Synths Black EG has unique
full ADSR envelope loop,
where SUSATAIN time
(«gate on» time) is set by
HOLD knob
Use this knob to set the HOLD
time. Note that HOLD can
be before ATTACK (similar to
Gate delay) or after ATTACK
to musically highlight
attack stage
Select between HADSR and
AHDSR envelope modes
Select linear or logarithmic
envelope shape
Patch GATE signal here
If you wish to retrigger the
envelope at any stage, patch
TRIGGER signal here. If no
cable is patched in TRIGGER
jack, envelope is shaped by
GATE signal only

Knobs set ATTACK,
DECAY, SUSTAIN and
RELEASE levels. For
more versatility use the
Erica Black CV
Expander to affect
each stage level by
control voltage. Before
connecting CV
expander, remove 4
jumpers from CV
Expander connector on
Black Envelope
generator module and
make sure the red
stripe on ribbon cable
matches black dots
next to the connectors
both on CV Expander
and Envelope
generator
Get your 0 - +10V
envelope here!
Inverted output
follows direct output
and provides inverted,
0 - -10V envelope. Use
it to duck audio signals
or control VCFs
