**Use hand tools, impact wrenches may cause damage if over torqued.** Preparation 1) Remove OEM bolts from the following locations shown below. a) Support the OEM fuel tank cover/skid before removing final bolts. Figure 1a: Driver side by sway Figure 1b: Passenger side Figure 1c: Front of fuel bar link by driveshaft...
Installation 3) Begin by unpacking and removing all components and hardware. Please verify that all hardware and mounting components are present. Reference your original order invoice and verify all items are accounted for. 4) With Fuel skid laying flat with the bends up, install all brackets onto the fuel skid with carriage bolts entering from the outside.

Figure 5: Assembly prior to installation on vehicle. 5) Collect the ⅜” x 2-½” carriage bolt , a 7/16” washer, a ⅜” split washer, and a ⅜” nut. Take the assembled fuel skid and position it so that the front carriage bolt slot aligns with the second hole from the farthest driver side crossmember hole.

Figure 6: View of the slot to align with the hole and installed hardware. a) *OPTIONAL* For those with an RCI transfer case skid plate, remove rear 3 carriage bolts and install as shown below. Reuse two of the carriage bolts.

Figure 7: Hardware installation for T-case compatibility. 6) Collect 1x M8 bolt with 1x 5/16” washer. Align the slot of the front driver side bracket with the factory mounting hole. Thread in the M8 bolt with the 5/16” washer. Hand tighten. This will be tightened later.

Figure 8: View of the bolt location installed. 7) Collect 1x M8 bolt with 1x 5/16” washer. Align the slot of the rear driver side bracket with the factory mounting hole. Thread in the M8 bolt with the 5/16” washer. Hand tighten. This will be tightened later.

Figure 9: View of the bolt location installed. 8) Collect the remaining M8 bolt and 5/16” washer. Align the slot of the passenger side bracket with the factory mounting hole. Thread in the M8 bolt with the 5/16” washer. Hand tighten. This will be adjusted later. 9) With the fuel skid suspended and hardware hand tightened, adjust the rear of the fuel skid plate to maximize the spacing between the lowest rear hardware and the fuel tank.
