To calibrate the Cantek CM626 planer, follow these steps:

1. Knife Height Adjustment:
- Use a break rod to lock the cutter-head stop plate.
- Loosen the set bolts on the GIB carefully to avoid springs or screws jumping out.
- Align and fix both ends of the knife height adjustment gauges.
- Adjust and fix the adjusting bolts to a uniform height of 1.8mm.
- Insert the springs or screws, then place the GIB and knife.
- Adjust the knife until it contacts the height adjustment gauge.
- Gradually and evenly tighten the set bolts to secure the knife.

  • Page 8 Change or Install Knives I Replace or install knives: First unplug the planer from the power source so as prevent any mishap. Removal: When the machine stops running completely, open the cover of chip-discharge see Fig (loosen the bolts on the cover). After replacing the knives, please close the cover of chip-discharge and lock the bolts.
  • Page 9 Change or Install Knives II Cutter knives installation & height adjustment on straight knives: Before changing the knives, please use break rod to lock on the cutter-head stop plate like Fig to prevent the cutter-head moved.   • Page 12 In-feed and Out-feed Rollers Adjustment In-feed and out-feed rollers adjustment : Pressure adjustment: The in-feed/out-feed rollers pressure are factory-adjusted. However, if slippage occur in feeding materials, perform the following adjustment procedure. Pressure can be made stronger by turning the pressure adjust bolt to right, and weaker by turn it to the left. For a fine finish with smooth, clean cutting at the start and finish.
  • Page 13 In-feed and Out-feed Rollers Adjustment Height adjustment: The in-feed/out-feed rollers height are factory-adjusted. However, should the rollers are not parallel in the height, perform the following adjustment procedure disconnect plug form power source. Place a piece of wood to be cut on the table, sliding it on the rollers. Turning the height adjust bolt left or right until the rollers are in flush contact with the wood for parallel adjustment.
  • Page 14 Wood-pressing Board I Wood-pressing board : Front wood-pressing board: 1)Action: When the material needs to do thicker planning, front wood-pressing board will go up then front wood-pressing board will go down. The max. going up height is 10mm. So, it can work for different thicknesses of materials to reach the wood-pressing function see Fig.
  • Page 15 Wood-pressing Board II 2)Adjusting: When you want to adjust the pressing of the front wood-pressing board , please do the stop as follows. Use open wrench to turn the protective nut that closed the spring. Turn right is tight. Turn left is loose.
  • Page 16 Wood-pressing Board III Rear wood-pressing board: To prevent the material from projecting upwards during planning and make the planning process go smoothly. Rear wood-pressing board is seldom regulated. But if the rear wood-pressing board needs to do regulated. Please regulate the adjusting bolt see Fig. Until the satisfactory height of rear wood-pressing board reaches.(Clockwise is tight, Un-clockwise is loose) Cutter-head.
  • Page 17 Bed Rollers Adjustment Bed rollers adjustment : The planer is factory-adjusted. If you notice the adjustment is off. Kindly do as follows. Disconnect plug from power source. Loosen the knob for locking the bed roller knob. Then turn the bed rollers knob see Fig.(turn right-the bed roller down 0.3mm once, turn left- the bed roller up 0.3mm once.)     Maintenance Maintenance : Disconnect plug from power source: 1)After use for period time, the planer knives should be taken out for sharpening. 2)Oil the rollers turning parts.
