1. Introduction
UT383 i s a stabl e , safe, reliabl e mini digital light meter ,
wide y used in lightening enterprises , agriculture and anima l

This operating manua l includes relevant safe t y information
and warnings. Please rea d this manua l carefull y and observe

2. Out of the Box
Open the pack i ng box and take out the meter. Ple a se check
caref u l y if any items are missing or damaged.

1.Pl e ase check the meter and the accessories befor e using
and beware of any damage or abnormal phenomenon. If
you find the case is damaged o
or you consi d er that the meter could not work properly
anymore, p l ease stop using it.

3.Do not open the meter at will or change internal wiring to
avoid damages to the meter.
4.When the LCD displays "c.i", replace the battery timely.
Re m ove the battery if the mete r is not used fo r a long t i me.
5.Do not store or use the meter in high temperature, high
humidi ty , fl a mmabl e , oo m bustibl e , or stro n g el e ctromagnetic
enviro n ment.
6.Please use soft cloth and neutral detergent to clean the
case for maintenance. Do not use grinding agent and
solvent to avoid case oo r rosion and damaging the meter.

6. Key Function and Setup
1. ON/OFF :
Short press once to start up; short press again to powe
off .

Press and hold "HOLD" and then press "ON/OFF" key to
enable/disable auto power off , LCD will display "APO OFF"

2. LUX/FC:
Unit co n version key: Short pre s s this key to select Lux or
Foot candles.
3. MAX/MIN:
Pressing this key ca n sel e ct maximum, minimum or norm a l
value measurement; select max i mum and the meter will
always show the max i mum reading; select minimum and
the meter will always show the minimum reading.
4. HOLD/BL:
HOLD: Short press this key to hold measurement; short
press this key again to exit data hold and continue normal
measurement.
BL: Long press this key to tum on backlight; long press
this key again to tum off backlight.
