1 DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
1.1 Purpose
1.1.1 S2000-KPB Executive Unit (hereinafter referred to as the unit) is intended for:
– Operating control appliances (light and sound fire alarm indicating appliances etc.) and
automatic fire-fighting equipment in notification and smoke removal systems;
– Operating fire extinguishing modules and automatic fire-fighting equipment in water
extinguishing systems, foam extinguishing systems, clean agent extinguishing systems, dry
chemical powder extinguishing systems, and aerosol fire extinguishing systems;
– Generating signals to control engineering equipment, process signaling equipment, and other
devices involved in fire safety providing;
– Operating other appliances (light and sound alarms, video cameras, electromagnetic locks and
so on) in intrusion alarm systems, panic alarm systems, auxiliary alarm systems, and access
control systems;
– Monitoring two process signaling inputs.
It is used as a component of modular control and indicating equipment under S2000M Monitoring and
Control Panel or Sirius Fire Alarm Control Panel and their revisions.
1.1.2 The unit is intended for round-the-clock operation.
1.1.3 The unit is classed as a restorable and regularly maintainable item.
1.1.4 The design of the unit doesn't provide its operation in aggressive and / or dusty environments as
well as in explosion hazardous and flammable premises.
