Why does the head spins when not pressing the trigger? Is that normal?

1 comments:
Mr. Anderson
April 7, 2025

The Echo SRM-2120 head should not spin when the trigger is not pressed. If it does, this is not normal and may indicate a problem with the clutch mechanism. The clutch is designed to engage and spin the head only when the trigger is pressed. When the trigger is released, the engine should idle and the head should stop spinning. Have the unit inspected and repaired before further use.
