    5240-058 The level of charge remaining in the battery can be checked by using the battery LED power indicator that is contained on the end of the battery. The battery charge remaining may be checked while the battery is installed in the tool with the ON/OFF switch turned OFF. It may also be checked while the battery is removed from the tool.

Chain saw oil is recommended as a lubricant. To prevent blocking the chain oil feeding tip, this operation requires extreme care to prevent the ingress of dirt of any kind.

HEARING PROTECTION AND SAFETY GLASSES Wear a protective helmet with integrated hearing and face protection during felling and forest work.This provides protection from falling branches. Wood under tension, which is released from tension by sawing, sometimes reacts completely uncontrolled. This can lead to serious or even fatal injuries (Fig. 21-23).
