NEEDED FOR INSTALL
(Purchase separately)
• Phillips screwdriver
• 1-, 2- or 3-hole junction box coverplate (Fig. 1)
• Outdoor weatherproof silicone caulking (optional)
• Electrical Tape (optional)
HOW IT WORKS
Your motion activated floodlight senses heat images from objects such
as people, large animals, and automobile engines. When motion is
detected, the lights will automatically turn on. Once motion has
stopped, the lights will turn off after a preselected time delay. Your
motion activated floodlight may also be used as a standard floodlight.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using product, basic precautions should always be followed:
• Read, follow, and save these instructions.
• Heed all warnings, including the below, AND those included on product.
• For outdoor use only.
• cETLus RECOGNIZED COMPONENT.
1. To be installed in accordance with appropriate electrical codes and regulations
2. Device components are intended for use as installed by factory
3. Terminals are not acceptable for field wiring connections
4. Install so that the drain hole is oriented at the bottom (closest to the ground)
5. Once installed, conduct water test to ensure mount secure and raintight
• Disassembling your motion sensor will void the warranty.
• Total wattage of light bulbs connected to the motion sensor cannot exceed 500 watts
tungsten or 200 Watts LED
CAUTION
• Connect to a 120-volt, 60-Hz power source. Any other connection voids the warranty.
• To be installed by persons with experience in household wiring or by a qualified electrician.
The electrical system, and the method of electrically connecting the motion sensor to it, must
be in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local building codes.
• For proper operation and protection against damage, the motion sensor head adjustment
knobs must be facing the ground.
• MINIMUM 90° C SUPPLY CONDUCTORS.
• Complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any
interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Under Part
15 of the FCC Rules, any changes or modifications to the motion sensor described in this
instruction sheet that are not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the user's
authority to operate the equipment.
• NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B
digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide
reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment
generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and if not installed and used in
accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If
this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be
determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. Connect the equipment
into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/ TV technician for help.
WARNING: FCC Regulations state that any unauthorized changes or
modifications to this equipment not expressly approved by the manufacturer could
void the user's authorization to operate this equipment.
FOR BEST RESULTS
• Install 8-12 feet above the ground. (Motion sensor is less sensitive
above 12 feet.)
• Position so motion moves across detection zone (Fig. 2).
• Position away from heat producing sources to prevent false
triggering. Also be very careful not to include objects such as
windows, white walls, and water in the detection zone.
• Position away from moving objects such as trees, large shrubs, and
street traffic.
• Do not install multiple motion sensors on the same wall switch.
COMMON WALL AND EAVE MOUNTING APPLICATIONS
WARNING: Total wattage of light bulbs connected to the motion sensor
cannot exceed 500 watts tungsten or 200 Watts LED.

ASSEMBLING AND WIRING YOUR MOTION SENSOR
WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect power at fuse or circuit breaker
before installing or servicing.
1. Turn off the power at the main fuse/breaker box.
2. Screw motion sensor arm into the desired hole on junction box or light fixture coverplate.
The hole, or fitting, must utilize standard ½" NPS threads to ensure a watertight seal.
3. If required, attach all lampholders to the coverplate following the instructions provided with
your light fixture (purchased separately).
4. Using the wire nuts provided, make the following electrical
connections, then wrapping and securing each connection with
electrical tape (Fig. 3):
1. Connect all white (neutral) wires together, from house
side, light fixture, and motion sensor.
2. Connect black wire(s) from light fixture to red wire (load)
from motion sensor.
3. Connect black wire from house side to black wire from
motion sensor.
5. Attach light fixture to the junction box according to instructions
provided with your light fixture (purchased separately).
6. Follow any and all other instructions provided with your light
fixture to complete the hardware portion of this installation.
7. Turn on power at main fuse/ breaker box.
OPERATING YOUR MOTION SENSOR
1. Set DURATION dial to "Test" (Fig 4).
NOTE: Light will stay on for 5 seconds when sensor detects
motion, regardless of the surrounding ambient light brightness.
2. Set SENSITIVITY dial to a middle point between "+" and "–".
3. Turn power on and allow 50 seconds before testing.
4. Aim sensor head toward desired detection area, with control switches facing toward the
ground and a downward 5° angle to allow moisture to drain.
NOTE: Maintain >2" air spacing between lamps and sensor head.
5. While lamp(s) are off, walk through the detection zone at the farthest distance you want
your sensor to detect motion to see when the lamp(s) turn on.
6. Adjust SENSITIVITY dial for desired results. For more range, aim sensor slightly upward.
For less range, aim sensor slightly downward. Light(s) will turn OFF 5 seconds after
motion stops. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until the desired action is achieved.
NOTE: Decreasing the SENSITIVITY will decrease the distance the sensor can detect.
7. Exit "Test" mode by setting DURATION dial to desired time setting. The higher the time
setting, the longer the lamp(s) will be ON. (~30 seconds minimum to 12 minutes MAX)
NOTE: OVERRIDE mode will keep lamp(s) ON. To activate, turn light switch OFF & ON
twice within 3 seconds and make sure DURATION dial is NOT set to "Test". The sensor
will return to normal operation after sufficient brightness in surrounding ambient light.
NOTE: To reset, turn the light switch OFF for 15 seconds and then turn ON.
