1. Unpacking the system
Check the contents of the box containing the rail mounting kit. If
you find any damage, please contact Nozomi Networks support
at support@nozominetworks.com.
Box contents:
• Left (L or LM) and Right (R or RM) side mounting kit
• One bag of screws containing 4xM5*15, 10xM4*4 and 12xM5*15
screws
• 4 threaded round hole adapters
Tools required:
• Philips screwdriver (not provided)
2. Setup precautions and considerations
To rack the NCMC-100 appliance using this rail mounting kit, you
will need a 4-post rack with at least:
• 63 cm/25 in. available between front and back posts for
square-hole racks.
• 67 cm/26.5 in. available between front and back posts for
round-hole racks.
• Before installing the appliance to a rack, make sure that rack
stabilizers are in place. Failure to do so can cause the rack to
tip over.
• Always load the rack from the bottom up, and load the
heaviest items first.
• Do not stand or step on any components in the rack.
• Do not add weight to slide/rail mounted equipment, especially
so when extended.
• Ensure adequate airflow is maintained for the appliance once
mounted.

3. Mounting the appliance to a square hole rack
Mount the brackets to the appliance as per the appliance quick
start guide.
Left-hand and right-hand rails and rail guides are different, and
are identified in multiple places:
• On the plastic bag containing them by a 'L' or 'R' sticker
• On the rail guides and rails, by 'LH' and 'RH' letters carved in
the metal
The words "FRONT" and "BACK" are also carved in the metal of
the rail kit guides.
Mount the rails to the appliance
Extract the left-hand rail guide from its bag. Extract the inner rail
until you reach the scissor-lock and clicks into place.
Release the inner rail by
sliding the lock lever and
take it out.
Fix the rail to the left-hand side of the appliance using four
M4*4 screws (provided).

Align the rail with the left pin (arrow 1). Use the screw holes on
the left of each couple. Proceed in the same manner to extract

and fix to the appliance to the right-hand side and rail, this time
using the screw holes on the right of each couple.
Mount the rail guides to the rack
Release the yellow mounting locks by sliding them toward the
interior of the rail guide.
Locked Position.
Slide to Unlock.
Mount the rail guides to the rack posts respecting the 'LH' and
'RH' for left-hand and right-hand sides. The joints will click into
position.
Once the rail guide is in place, slide
the yellow lock back into locking
position.
Fully extend the rail guides, until they
click into locking position.

Unlocked Position.
Slide to Lock.
