Region Changing Instructions
(For Sony BDP-S1500, BDP-S1700, BDP-S3500, BDP-S3700, BPD-S5500, BDP-S6500,
& BDP-S6700)
DVDs - Regions 0 to 8
No changes necessary for DVDs. Simply insert the disc and press play.
Blu-Rays
Regions (zones) are changed manually with remote. To change regions:
1. Turn player on and open the tray.
2. Once the tray is completely open and no longer moving, press the
corresponding button on the remote to select the region.
a. Zone A: Yellow Button.
b. Zone B: Blue Button.
c. Zone C: Red Button.
3. You can now put your disc in the tray and close the tray.
Troubleshooting
If your disc does not play, do the following:
1. Open the tray again and leave the disc in the tray.
2. Once fully open, press the color button to select the region.
3. Close the tray.
Firmware Updates can be done via the internet. To update player's firmware:
1. Go to the Home Menu
2. Then the Setup Menu
3. Then to Software Update.
a. The player must be connected to the internet.
4. Select Update Via Internet. If there is a new firmware update, the player will
automatically update. Do not turn the player off while it is updating.
