Guidelines: Kangaroo 324 Pump Operation

Action
To Set-up and Operate the Kangaroo Pump
1. Press "ON" Button
2. Wait while pump performs systems check
3. Check VOL CLR light or press VOL to insure that volume
delivered is clear, if desired
4. When display reads "0", set desired rate in ml/hr by
pressing the up arrow or down arrow
5. Set Total Volume to be given (DOSE), by pressing DOSE button
and the up arrow or down arrow simultaneously until desired
total volume appears
6. Insert drip chamber into drip chamber guides
7. Open clamp, fill entire line with fluid, close clamp
8. Grasp silicone tubing and gently stretch around rotor; insert
retainer into retainer lock
9. Open control clamp, press START/HOLD button. While pump
is running, dots will flash across display
To Change Rate (ml/hr)
1. Press START/HOLD
2. Set new rate
3. Press START/HOLD
To Set Volume Delivered
1. Press START/HOLD
2. To display volume delivered: Press VOL
3. To clear volume delivered: Press VOL, Press VOL CLR
4. Observe for the yellow VOL CLR light to go on indicating that
the volume delivered has been reset to zero. NOTE: When
the pump has been turned off for 24 hours, the volume
delivered is reset to zero
5. Volume delivered cannot be cleared until preset dose has
been reached

To recheck Dose (Total Volume) to be delivered:
1. Press DOSE
