Page 6: Step 3: Remove The "Discovery" Doorstep Trim
• Position the XLifter extractor tool correctly. Aim to hook onto the retaining clip's edge at the lever's back side, as shown in the pictures. By pushing the tool's top end down slightly, the hook on the other end should catch the clip's protrusion. -

Step 5: Install Xlifter EAS unit. • The XLifter EAS unit gets mounted on top of the LR Chassis Control Module using the provided 3M reclosable fasteners. • Before fully attaching the XLifter EAS unit, it's smart to practice positioning it without removing the protective foil from the 3M fasteners. -

12V Power Supply Lead. • If the LED isn’t flashing, even after correctly installing the XLifter cable loom, it means the EAS unit isn’t getting 12V power. Congratulations, the most challenging part is over. But you're not quite done yet. Now, you need to ensure everything is working correctly, and put all the trims back in place. It's also a great idea to test the basic functionality of the Xlifter system before you finish reassembling everything. -

Page 16: Dismantling Xlifter From Vehicle
● For temporary removal, the XLifter cable harness can remain in the vehicle. Just disconnect Connector C from the XLifter EAS unit and then insert the bypass plug into the now-free C connector. ● To detach the EAS unit from the 3M reclosable fastener, pull it straight out, perpendicular to its printed side, towards the direction of the center console.
