  • Page 5 P Service Instructions Disassembly: Taking out the Frame Tools: All purpose tool, tweezers 1. Unscrew the ear hook. 2. Open the battery compartment. Use all purpose tool to remove the locking pins in the shown order. 3. Remove upper casing by first lifting slightly at back end and then front end.
  • Page 6 P Service Instructions Disassembly: Upper casing Tools: All purpose tool 1. Snap out the housing cover by means of a screwdriver or the all purpose tool. 2. Lift the tail first then take off the housing cover. 3. Snap out the rocker switch by pressing it down.
  • Page 7 P Service Instructions Disassembly: Lower casing Tools: All purpose tool 1. Remove the flap of the audio contacts by means of the all purpose tool. 2. Remove the axis pin of the battery compartment by means of the all purpose tool.
  • Page 8 P Service Instructions Replace the Microphones Tools: Tweezers, soldering iron, microscope, side cutter, all purpose tool Note: No matter if only one microphone is defective, always both microphones have to be RMIC FMIC replaced as they are a matched pair.

  • Page 10 P Service Instructions Replace the T-Coil Tools: Tweezers, soldering iron, microscope, side cutter, all purpose tool, adhesive 1. Desolder the wires from the pads TC+ and TC- (see figure). 2. Remove microphones as described in previous chapter. 3. Pull out the tcoil with the tweezers.

  • Page 12 P Service Instructions Replace the Receiver Tools: Screwdriver, scalpel, tweezers 1. Desolder the wires of the receiver from pads Out+ and Out-. 2. Remove the receiver compartment cover on the left side. Cover is sealed with varnish, use a screwdriver or scalpel to carefully lever the cover.

Seale the join between cover and frame with varnish, do not dilute varnish. 12. Remount compartment cover on the left side. If cover was damaged during remove use a new cover.

  • Page 17 P Service Instructions Replace the Mic Filters Tools: Screwdriver / all purpose tool, tweezers 1. Snap out the microphone filters by means of the all purpose tool. 2. Click in the new filters by means of the all purpose tool.
  • Page 18 P Service Instructions Reassembly: Upper casing 1. Silde the front end of the housing cover into the upper casing. Do not damage the latch! 2. Press down the area near the rear microphone inlet. 3. Press down the area between the rear microphone inlet and the window for the rocker switch.
  • Page 19 P Service Instructions Reassembly: Lower casing Tools: all purpose tool 1. Snap in the audio cover as shown. 2. Check the correct postion of the audio cover to be flush in the casing. 3. Fit in the battery compartment.
  • Page 20 P Service Instructions Reassembly: Inserting the frame Tools: All purpose tool, tweezers 1. Place the frame with the port ahead in the lower casing as shown. Be careful not to damage any wires. 2. Place the microphone seal and assure proper fitting.
  • Page 21 P Service Instructions 4. Push in the casing pins in the shown order by means of the all purpose tool (with cap). 5. Close the battery compartment and check detent. 6. Screw the earhook to the port. 7. Please check correct position: No gap must remain, outer contours of casing and earhook should match.

    rega S Service Instructions Replace the T-Coil Tools: Tweezers, soldering iron, microscope, side cutter, all purpose tool, glue 1. Desolder the wires from the pads TC- and TC+. 2. Tilt the outer end plate of the coil to loosen the glue and pull out the Tcoil.
