Maintenance
CAUTION: Before carrying out any work,
disconnect the device from the mains
Maintenance must be carried out by trained personnel as described in this user manual.
Carry out cleaning of the C. condenser biannually or when you notice a drop in the
efficiency of the equipment. If the condenser is dirty, clean it according to the instructions
in this manual.
Glass
Base in PVC
Condenser - A.
Net - C.
1. Disconnect the equipment from the mains by unplugging the power supply from the
socket and the power cable from the device.
2. Open the steel cover by unscrewing the retaining screw on the left side - Fig. A.
3. Pull the cover to the left, using the base of the cover - Fig. B.
4. First remove the spring and then the net (C.) outside the tube (A.): if this is difficult,
slightly rotate the net around the quartz glass - fig. C and D.
5. Clean the glass with a slightly damp cloth (not dripping) - fig. E.
WARNING: Do not use detergents, soaps or similar.
6. Wash the net under running hot water and dry carefully with a dry cloth.
7 . Check whether the condenser shows any cracks or damages: if so, replace it.
For replacement of the condenser, see this manual. Generally, condenser replacement
must be done after 12-18 months.
8. Reposition the metal grid on the glass in the same position of the inner grid – Fig. F .
Reattach the spring while holding the glass condenser - Fig. C.
WARNING: leave a minimum distance of 2-3 mm from the bottom of the condenser
9. Clean externally the appliance with a soft cloth and remove dust from the cover
on top of the air purifier.
10. Close the cover of the device until the coupling (you hear a "CLACK") and tighten the
screw on the left side – Fig. G and A.
11. Reconnect the cable connector to the device or insert the plug into the power socket.
12. Verify the functioning (it must emit a slight buzz)
Replacing of the ionization condenser.
The replacement of the type A ionization tube must be carried out with an original
Bioxigen spare part. To replace the ionization tube, unscrew it by acting only on the
red sleeve and not on the glass. Screw on the new ionization tube A, always using
the red sleeve and not the glass tube. ATTENTION: Perform the replacement of
the ionization tube only after having disconnected the device from the electrical
mesh and after having unplugged the connector from the device.
Operating modes
The device has to work continuously. Unplug from the electrical socket and contact a
specialized dealer if:
•
The power cable is damaged
•
The plug is damaged or deteriorated
•
Water or other liquid has been spilled over the product
•
The device is no longer intact due to shock or other causes.
•
Electric discharges are visible on the glass condenser.
•
The bright blue led visible on the left side does not light up.

The Bioxigen
®
system (summary DESCRIPTION of the
technology's OPERATING PRINCIPLE)
The Bioxigen
®
technology allows the generation of a flow of negative oxygen ions in
the air. Oxygen ions are produced through an electric field oscillating in time vibrating
the oxygen and nitrogen molecules in the air. These molecules exchange an electron,
through kinetic collision, producing oxygen ions O2- and nitrogen ions N2+. The negative
oxygen ion, also known as the superoxide anion, can react with volatile substances in
the air - VOCs, odours, ammonia, etc. - through redox reactions.
It also greatly reduces the microbial load carried by particulate matter or present
on environmental surfaces by interacting with the cell membrane, blocking
enzymatic exchange and thus leading to the death of microorganisms. Since the
oxygen ions are carried by the air itself, they can reach all points that are in contact with
the air, producing a microbicidal effect on all areas through which the air can pass. The
continuous activity of oxygen ions in the air also allows the reduction of suspended dust
due to its clustering.
Bioxigen
®
technology is currently used in many devices suitable for different
environments as you can see in the website: www.bioxigen.com. Moreover Bioxigen
technology is used in many devices that are integrated inside other devices that
constitute the air treatment plant of a building: AHUs, HVACs, air ducts, and heat
recovery units. Some Bioxigen devices are also applied in high-risk departments such
as: operating rooms, infectious diseases, intensive care, production and packaging
areas where it is necessary to combine filtration with air sanitization.
Bioxigen
devices in this case play an important role in preventing the dangers of
®
microbial contamination caused by sudden failures or inefficiencies of air filtration
systems, but above all by microbial contamination generated in the environment by
the presence of people or other. Obviously, the identification of the devices suitable
for a specific use and their sizing is the task of our technical staff supported, where
necessary, by consultants: biologists, microbiologists etc.

technology has obtained satisfactory results also against
"Vaccinia Virus", a family of Virus with Encapsulated RNA, (which
includes also Coronavirus) whose result is to obtain virucidal
activity, as required by EN 16777 legislation, (i.e. 4 logarithmic
reduction), after 60 minutes of exposure.
