PIR Sensor with Nature Sounds – User Guide v1.1
Please read these instructions carefully and retain for future reference.
Power Supply Options
1. The Sensor can be powered using 3x AAA batteries, (not included). Alkaline batteries are recommended, and NiMH
rechargeable batteries can also be used.
2. The Sensor can also be powered by connecting a 5 Volt DC mains power adapter to the Micro USB socket. The USB
cable is supplied but the power adapter can be purchased separately.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The two power supply options mentioned above must NOT be used at the same time. Please
remove all three batteries first before the mains adapter is connected.
How to record a voice message
1. Slide the Power Switch up to the ON position.
2. Press and hold the A button for 2 seconds and then release. The Red Light will illuminate, and you will hear a 'BEEP'
sound to indicate that recording has started.
3. Speak clearly into the Microphone at a distance of approx 15 cm.
4. When you have finished recording, press the A button once. You will hear two 'BEEP' sounds to confirm that your
recording has been saved. Your recording will playback automatically and the Red Light will turn off. 5. You can re-record
new messages by repeating the steps above.
How to download a sound file
1. The Sensor has 4MB of internal flash memory, which will store up to 8 minutes of high-quality MP3 sound files. MP3
sound files can be downloaded directly onto the internal memory as follows.
2. IMPORTANT NOTE: Remove batteries from the battery compartment. Slide the Power Switch up to the ON position.
Connect the Sensor to an available USB socket on a computer or Mac using the USB cable supplied. The Red Light will
flash to confirm connection.
