NOTE 1: You
99) the output level of the S3200 is at maximum and so you will not hear
any effect if one or more modulation sources are applied.
NOTE 2: In some cases it is possible to overload the S3200 and cause
distortion. This will normally only happen with particularly loud samples
recorded at full level when excessive modulation is applied. Increasing the
filter resonance may also lead to distortion in some cases. If this happens,

PAN MODULATION
A gain, w e have three m o d ula tio n in puts w hich can co n tro l p ann ing. The
d efaults for these three control inputs are:
K ey T h is
lo u dn e ss. W ith p o sitive se ttin g (i.e. +50) the sound
will pan from left to right across the keyboard and, if
set to a n egative va lue (i.e. -50), w ill pan the sound
from right to left across the keyboard. You may use this
param eter to create pseudo stereo sam ples out of mono
ones. For e xam ple, w ith sa m p le s such as piano or
m arim ba or vibes, you could create the stereo effect of
m ic ro p h o n e s
keyboards to produce a panning effect.
L f o 2 T his w ill p roduce the cla ssic auto p an n er e ffe ct w ith
the sound gradually m oving betw een left and right at a
rate set by LFO 2. You can use this fo r special effects,
of course, but one p opu lar a pp lica tio n is to use it to
sim u late a rotary speaker effect.
