Quick Start Guide
Thunderbolt AVB Adapter Description
1 – Link Indicator
This LED lights green to indicate a link is established between
the adapter and the device or switch.
2 – Activity Indicator
When a link is established between the adapter and the switch,
this LED flashes yellow to indicate network activity.
3 – RJ45 Port
Connect a Cat 5e or better cable between this port and the
switch's or device's RJ45 port.
4 – Thunderbolt Port
Connect the included (or other certified) Thunderbolt cable
between this port and your computer's (or intermediate peripheral
device's) Thunderbolt port.

AVB Compatibility
• AVB supported only under macOS.
• When used with Avid Pro Tools | Carbon, a direct connection
between the Sonnet adapter and Avid interface is required.
• For use with other AVB applications, switch/router must also support
AVB to support this feature.

Thunderbolt Cable
Connect this cable between the Sonnet adapter
and one of your computer's Thunderbolt ports
(often indicated by a logo), or other Thunderbolt
peripheral device in the chain connected to the
computer. Ports marked with the generic USB icon (
or USB Charging Port icon ( ) are NOT compatible.
ThunderLok™ Thunderbolt Connector Retainer Clip
This clip secures the included Thunderbolt cable's connector
plugged into the Sonnet adapter's Thunderbolt port to prevent
accidental cable disconnection.
Driver Information
The drivers required to support this product are installed as part of
macOS 10.12.6 and later; the Sonnet adapter is ready for use when
you power on your computer.
