Quick Reference Guide for the
SLE6000H & SLE6000C
The Quick Reference Guide for the SLE6000H & SLE6000C is not a
replacement or substitute for the Instructions for Use. It is for
informational purposes only. Any use of the device requires full
understanding and strict observation of the Instruction for Use.
Setting up the SLE6000H & SLE6000C for Invasive ventilation
1.
Plug in the power cord and connect air & oxygen hoses to
supply.
2.
Insert exhalation block and silencer in to the ventilator.
3.
Connect flow sensor cable, patient circuit and filters.
Prepare humidifier and connect humidification heater
wires and temperature probes to circuit.
4.
Press the power button at the front for 2 seconds to power
on.
5.
The ventilator will perform a series of self tests, including
high, medium and low alarms sounds and lights.
Allow 60 Seconds for the ventilator to stabilise
6. Connect the flow sensor cable to the flow sensor.
7. Using the quick start screen select Utilities.
8. Select Flow Sensor.
9. Occlude the flow sensor with a gloved hand.
10. Press Start Calibration to calibrate flow sensor.
11. Insert flow sensor into circuit and attach test lung.
The flow sensor must be calibrated at the time of
starting ventilation
12. Select Mode.
13. Select Invasive tab.
14. Ensure 10mm circuit is highlighted for neonatal patients
or 15mm for Infants >10kg in mechanical ventilation.
(For HFO always use 10mm circuit).
15. Select ventilation mode from Invasive ventilation screen.
16. Alter the parameters as required and confirm with the
Scan for IfU
