General Information A. Introduction The AVA LAL Power Unit can be matched with the TheraFlo 7 & 9 M-set . This AVA LAL Service Manual provides repair and maintenance instructions for the AVA LAL Power Unit. Any trained maintenance staff member can perform the procedures described in the sections of this manual that are designated Level 1. -

Replacing Panel Foil NEVER SPRAY LIQUIDS DIRECTLY ONTO A POWER UNIT IF LIQUID IS ALLOWED INTO THE CASING OF THE POWER UNIT, EXTENSIVE DAMAGE MAY RESULT The panel foil is held in place by a self-adhesive backing. Use a small, thin, flat bladed knife to pry up an edge and gently pull the panel foil to remove it.(Fig: 5) -

Be sure to seal the power unit with a new Do Not Open sticker after carrying out any of the procedures designated Level 2 and fill out a Product Service Record and email to Carilex Medical Inc. or to your distributor. -

IMPORTANT – Be sure to place a new Do Not Open sticker onto the underside of the power unit and fill out a Service Record Form (found at the end of this manual) and fax/mail to Carilex or Your distributor. -

AVA LAL Unit Service Manual C. Replacing the Control PCBA set Follow the steps in “Replacing the Top Case” to remove the top case. Disconnect the two wire &from the control PCBA. (Fig: 9) Remove the 8 screws from the control PCBA. (Fig: 9) Gently lift out the control PCBA, taking care not to disturb the white silicone switch buttons. -

Follow the steps in “Replacing the Compressor” to remove the compressor from the bottom case (Fig:13) Remove the one screw from the cable tidy on the side case and disconnect wire from Power PCB. (Fig: 14) Remove the 4 screw from air valve set. -

AVA LAL Unit Service Manual Remove the 5 screws from the hanging hooks and then remove the hanging hook case from the bottom case. (Fig: 19) Place a new hanging hook into the hanging hook slot, fitting it securely and then place the hanging hook retaining plates into the retaining plate slots so that they fit securely.(Fig: 20) -

Function test Stage Steps Power On Plug the power cable into the wall socket. - Page 22 AVA LAL Unit Service Manual Panel Unlock Match the air mattress (7”or 9”). Press the power button. Press the cycle time to setting 15 min. When there is no operation after 2 minutes, system will automatically lock the control panel.
