Refrigerant handling • The unit CoolSeven is intended to be connected to outdoor condensing unit CoolOut7, which use the R410A refrigerant. • Coolant handling, and the installation and disposal of cooling units must be made in compliance with the regulations applicable in the country where the unit is installed.
Environmental and safety requirements In accordance with the certificate of compliance, Conteg spol. s r. o., as the manufacturer of the device, declares that CoolSeven cooling units have been manufactured and tested in accordance with the following directives: Directive 2014/35/EU – low voltage technical requirements EN 60204-1 Electrical apparatus for machines.
Product identification Product plate The unit may be identified by product plate, which contains basic product information. The technical specifications on the label are related to the rated conditions of operation the cooling equipment. Production label is located at the rear side of the unit.
Correct use The CoolSeven units are designed to cool IT racks with IT technology. Use this cooling unit to eliminate problems caused by high temperature. CoolSeven units cannot be used beyond safety restrictions.
• open fire • risk of fire • near combustible products • explosive environment • salty environment • environment with aggressive gases If in doubt, please contact the manufacturer. – cooling@conteg.cz The CoolSeven units don’t serve as heat pumps.
Unpacking and inspection upon delivery Inspection upon delivery CONTEG products are supplied directly from the manufacturing plant. Prior to dispatching, all components are inspected one by one and carefully packed. The whole device is tested for functionality before dispatching. After receiving the goods, immediately check the following: •...
Lifting and transportation Danger of heavy load falling The load-bearing capacity of the equipment must correspond to the weight of the cooling unit. The load must be placed evenly to prevent tilting. Avoid negligent and dangerous handling. Do not place any other objects on the air-conditioning unit. Check the dimensions of the unit Make sure there is enough space for proper handling of the unit.
Installation Installation of indoor unit CoolSeven The CoolSeven unit is installed in a 19” plane between the cabinet rails. The CoolSeven unit is installed using the Conteg - DP MO 01 mounting kit (the mounting kit contains 4x M5 screws, 4x floating nuts and 4x washers).
(service the main switch CoolSeven units display) To guarantee the correct function of the CoolSeven cooling unit, the following connection conditions must be observed: The electrical connection 230 V 50-60 Hz socket IEC C14, cable for connection to the Schuko socket included.
The communication between indoor CoolSeven unit and outdoor CoolOut unit Recommendation – Use a flexible and shielded communication cable min. 6 x 1,0 mm2 The maximum length of the communication cable is - 500 m. Terminal description n. terminal communication with outdoor...
The refrigerant piping between indoor CoolSeven unit and outdoor CoolOut unit Use an outside diameter refrigerant pipe to connect the CoolSeven - Liquid - 1/2 “wall thickness min. 1 mm or 12mm wall thickness min. 1 mm Gas - 5/8 “wall thickness min. 1 mm or 16mm wall thickness min. 1 mm The piping must be tested and certified for use with R410A refrigerant (42 bar).
Op. hours total: the total number of operating hours Network: network status of the unit: Online: The CoolSeven unit, communicate with one or more indoor unit. Stand-alone: the unit is in standby mode (can’t find other indoor unit, or it’s set to stand-alone mode in the service menu.
6.1.3 Info temperature This screen shows the actual measured temperatures. 6.1.4 Info circuit Refrigerant circuit information is shown in this screen. Upper part shows condenser’s information: : Condenser’s fan is switched off : Condenser’s fan is switched on : Condenser’s fan in failure Next to the fan symbol is the value of the set and actual condensing pressure, below the fan symbol is the current speed.
6.1.8 Info zone This screen is to be shown only on Master unit. Units total: Total number of units Active units: Quantity of active units (with the operation requirements) Units start demand: information about standard active units. The units are displayed as follows: Cooling request is request for another unit to run, if actual working units are not enough to cool down total heat load (service screen „Cooling request “).
3. If all the alarms are acknowledged (diode under the Alarm key is on permanently) and no alarm is active, the Alarm key is cleared, the Alarm Noise screen is displayed and the Alarm LED goes out. 4. If all alarms are acknowledged (diode under the Alarm key is lit permanently) but there are still one or more active alarms in the system, the first alarm will appear when the Alarm key is pressed, and the diode below the alarm key will blink (the active alarm cannot be deleted).
6.3.4 Warning parameters This screen sets the maximum and minimum outlet temperatures for warnings. If the actual outlet temperature is higher than the set value, a high temperature alarm is activated and the door of cabinet is opened via the door contact. The alarm of high temperature is ended if the outlet temperature is lower/higher than the set value and diff.
Interconnection between the cooling units The every CoolSeven unit includes the COM1 and COM2 ports (the connection RJ45 – female). Ports are used for interconnections between units CoolSeven – interconnection of units into one zone. Communication cables Use the shielded FTP cable (category 5e) with RJ45 male connector to connect the units to one zone.
7.4.1 Sequencing In this case, that the maximum quantity of the CoolSeven units is higher than number of active units, it’s possible to adjust sequencing parameters in the zone. In the sequencing mode, every unit must be assigned an order number, which determines the cooling unit sequence in the given period.

If group sequencing is disabled, units sequencing follows this scheme: Ex. 1: Total number of units: 6 pc Number of active units: 2 pc Group sequencing: no. 1 no. 2 no. 3 no. 4 no. 5 no. 6 Cycle 1 Cycle 2 Cycle 3 Cycle 4...
Ex. 4: Total number of units: 6 pc Number of active units: 3 pc Group sequencing: no. 1 no. 2 no. 3 no. 4 no. 5 no. 6 Cycle 1 Cycle 2 Cycle 3 Cycle 4 Cycle 5 Cycle 6 On the Zone-parameter screen it is possible to set daily or weekly Unit sequencing period as well as parallel run during the sequencing so that the cooling power does not drop out while the new units are started.

Maintenance To ensure trouble-free operation, checking the equipment at least once a week is recommended. Scheduled maintenance must be conducted at least twice a year (official conteg service partner), whenever an alarm is triggered, and in specific cases of changes in operation.
Alarm List The following table presents a list of all alarms which may be triggered in the system. The fan, outdoor unit and flood alarms have to be reset manually after the cause has been resolved. The service alarm is only reset after acknowledgement in the service display (official conteg service partner).

Optional accessories Condensate pump The condensate pump is located in the rear of the unit above the condensate tank. It is attached to the unit frame using a holder and its intake piping goes to the lowest section of the condensate tank.
This display can be used to change all user or service settings. • We recommend installing at least one display to zone. CoolSeven units communicate with each other and with display too. The user can control and set setpoints and other necessary parameters of the unit.
The communication card pCOWEB Available functions A pCOWeb connected to an Ethernet network provides the following features: • WEB server: used to check or change the operating status of the cooling unit controller using a remote computer running, for example, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
The communication card ModBus RS485 (optical isolated) The communication card ModBus RS485 is used for connection information from the controller to customer BMS. Using the ModBus RTU communication protocol.
