  • Page 5 3. Functions, Inputs and Outputs. ZanySignals' design prioritizes ease of interpretation and use, allowing for quick and straightforward integration into your workflow. As a result, it's more ergonomic in its knobs, ensuring anyone feels comfortable when interacting with each module.
  • Page 6 Next, a brief explanation of the segmentation of this module's parameters will be provided. The primary functions are assigned to the large black knobs. Secondary and tertiary functions are represented by the small black and blue knobs, respectively. Switches are implemented to toggle or hold a function. Function 1 Function 2...

Function 1 Function 3 Function 2 Signal inputs are provided through 1/8" jacks, which are clearly distinguished from the outputs as they have a simple boundary, unfilled outline. Inputs Signal outputs are provided via 1/8" jacks, which in this case feature a fully highlighted or filled silkscreen.
  • Page 8 Shiny features. Envelope Knobs: Attack: This knob controls the Attack (A), which is the first parameter of the envelope. This parameter indicates an immediate rise upon the activation of the input signal and governs the slope's level. Release: This knob manages the Release (R) parameter of the envelope.
  • Page 9 Broad: Controls the duration of the Noise. In its maximum position, it allows the Noise to pass through completely, ideal for transitioning between layers. Filter Knob. CutO : Allows defining the filter's cuto frequency. Being a 100% analog module, turning the knob's position will propor- tionally increase the cuto frequency in both LP/HP modes.
  • Page 10 Manual Gate (A o B): This button allows manual activation for channel A or B, giving activation time equal to the time the button is pressed. Selección del Noise: Switches that select the noise for the two channels. The N1/N2 switch selects two di erent types of noises for channel A, while the N3/N4 switch selects two other types of noises for channel B.

B, with the filtering process applied.. 4. Operation. The Shiny is a dual cymbal synthesizer featuring two channels (A and B). To activate them, input a Gate signal into the input of each channel (Gate A/B) at di erent activation times. Verify their operation or activation by observing the LED indicator for each channel.
  • Page 12 Release Broad Broad The Shiny features an LP/HP filter to obtain one of the two filtered channels through the Shiny output. First, select which channel will pass through the filter using the A/B Switch (7), then choose the filter type with the LP/HP Switch (8). Finally,...
  • Page 13: Module Installation

The Shiny is a module that requires a ±12V power supply, meaning a 10-pin (2x5 pins) connector. Connect the Ribbon cable to the 10-pin female connector on the module's circuit board.

  • Page 15 Note Always be aware of the output and input levels of each signal to prevent damage to this or any other module. Given the large audio levels of Eurorack, you should connect to modules specifically designed to accept these levels. Never connect an output to an input that accepts a lower voltage level.
  • Page 16: Warranty

During the warranty period (1 year for this module), the defective product will be repaired or replaced at ZanySignals' discretion. It is necessary to return the product to ZanySignals' facilities, with the consumer covering the shipping costs. This allows us to review and inspect the module's defects and proceed with the repair.
