IPM-90-550
PoE Power supply/Midspan PoE 55V 90W 1 channel
10/100/1000Mbps with display
The IPM-90-550 is used to power PoE-compliant devices in LAN networks. Placed between a
switch that does not have PoE power (or does not have a sufficient power budget) and network
devices (e.g. cameras, access points, extenders), it enables simultaneous power and data transmission
to PoE IP devices using a single UTP cable at 10/100/1000Mbps.
Power over Ethernet (PoE) is an easy-to-install, fast and cost-effective solution for powering
network products. There is no need to replace existing Ethernet switches and cabling.
It supports all popular power supply standards PoE, PoE+, Hi Poe in 3 operating modes
selectable from a handy menu. Viewing of the current operating status and operation of the menu
functions takes place on the built-in display.
It provides power using both data pairs in UTP (1/2 and 3/6) and after free pairs (4/5 and 7/8)
depending on how the receiver is identified. This allows maximum use to be made of the available
cabling and powering of demanding receivers.
In combination with the APT series, it enables us to create extensive installations in a tree
topology using only UTP cables without 230VAC power supply.
Supported PoE standards:
Standard 802.3 af / at / bt60 / bt90
•
PoH mode equivalent to PoE+ and HiPoe for demanding receivers outside the standard
•
Passive PoE with autonegotiation (e.g. all ATTE ecosystem devices of the xPoE-xx series, WIFI
•
AP distribution points)
Changing the operating mode is only possible during start-up.
Notes:
The unit is supplied with 230V mains voltage and does not offer buffer power backup. A power cable
is included in the scope of supply. The unit is rated for continuous operation at 90W with proper
cooling during operation. It does not have an on/off switch, so adequate protection must be provided
and the user must be instructed on how to switch off.
