Important
The wires in the mains lead of this equipment should be
connected
as follows:
Choose a position where direct light from a lamp or window
does not fall on the screen. Wherever possible out of the
reach of young children.
Make sure there is adequate air circulation through the vents
on the rear cover of the receiver. Do not place the receiver
close to curtains or in an enclosed
shelf space.

Optimum
reception
of colour and teletext
requires
a good
signal and will generally mean that a loft or outdoor aerial
must be used. The exact type and siting will depend upon
your particular area and your focal Aerial
installers
will be
best able to advise.
Where
signals
permit,
a set top
aerial
may
be used
by
plugging into the aerial socket and rotating to obtain the best
picture.
Connections to a typical 13 amp
plug
BLUE
to NEUTRAL

N or coloured
black.
BROWN
to LIVE —
terminal marked
L or coloured
red.
It is recommended
that where a suitable socket is available,
you use a plug fitted with a 5A fuse.

Carefully slide back cover and insert 2 batteries, taking care
to observe
correct polarities.
Suitable battery types are: R6 or AA or SUM-3.
