Page 7 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS WARNING: Improper use of the grounding plug can result in electric shock. GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.
Page 8 To disconnect the appliance, grasp the plug and remove it from the outlet. Never use the product if the power cord shows signs of abrasion or excessive wear. Contact Chefman Customer Support for additional guidance and support. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to fray and break.
Page 9 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS CAUTION: To ensure continued protection against the risk of electric shock, connect to properly grounded outlets only. IMPORTANT: During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke and/or a slight odour. This is normal and should quickly disappear. It will not recur after the appliance has been used a few more times.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE FIRST USE Remove all packing materials and any removable stickers from the inside and outside of the waffle maker. Gently wipe down the exterior and interior with a damp cloth or paper towel to remove any packaging residue. Dry completely. Never immerse the waffle maker, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
Page 12 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Unwind the power cord completely and plug in the waffle maker. The red POWER light located on the top of the waffle maker will come on, and the waffle maker will begin to preheat. When the waffle maker is fully heated, after about 5 minutes, the green READY light will come on as well.
Page 13 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Close the lid. The green READY light will turn off while the waffle is cooking and will come back on when the waffle is done. WARNING: Hot steam escapes from the sides of the waffle maker during cooking and can potentially cause burns. Keep away from the steam.

WAFFLE MAKING TIPS • When making waffle batter, mix just until large lumps disappear. Overmixing can make waffles tough. • Adding mix-ins, such as fruit or chocolate chips, may take some experimenting to get right. Try mixing some into a single waffle’s worth of batter at first to judge the ratio of batter to mix-in.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE With its nonstick plates, the waffle maker is super easy to clean. Unplug the waffle maker when finished and let it cool completely before cleaning. Use a soft-bristle brush, such as a pastry brush, or a paper towel to brush away crumbs from the plates.

CONSIGNES D’UTILISATION AVANT L'EMPLOI INITIAL Retirez tous les matériaux d’emballage et toutes les étiquettes qui peuvent être enlevées à l’extérieur et à l’intérieur du gaufrier. Essuyez doucement l’extérieur et l’intérieur avec un chiffon ou un essuie-tout humide pour retirer tout résidu d’emballage. Séchez bien.
Page 32 CONSIGNES D’UTILISATION Le témoin rouge ALIMENTATION (POWER) situé en haut du gaufrier s’allume et le gaufrier préchauffe. Au bout de 5 minutes, le gaufrier est complètement chaud et le témoin vert PRÊT (READY) s’allume également. Utilisez le bouton de réglage du brunissage pour choisir la couleur voulue.
Page 33 CONSIGNES D’UTILISATION Fermez le couvercle. Le témoin vert PRÊT (READY) s’éteint pendant la cuisson et se rallume quand la gaufre est prête. AVERTISSEMENT : de la vapeur chaude s’échappe des côtés durant la cuisson et peut brûler. Restez éloigné de la vapeur. Quand le témoin vert PRÊT (READY) se rallume, ouvrez prudemment le couvercle.

CONSEILS POUR FAIRE DES GAUFRES • Lors de la réalisation d’une pâte à gaufre, arrêtez de la mélanger dès qu’il n’y a plus de gros grumeaux. Un mélange trop long peut rendre les gaufres dures. • Ajouter des garnitures, comme des fruits ou des pépites de chocolat, peut demander quelques essais avant de réussir.

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN Avec ses plaques antiadhésives, le gaufrier est super facile à nettoyer. Débranchez le gaufrier et le laissez-le refroidir complètement avant de le nettoyer.
