    Chapter 1: Introduction This manual covers service information for the Gerber EDGE FX. Only qualified technical personnel with the correct tools should perform service and repair actions.     Setting the network address of the GERBER EDGE FX from the printer keypad The default address for the GERBER EDGE FX was chosen to work with a crossover cable and Windows Automatic Private IP Addressing. For computers that have not been configured for networking, the default address should be acceptable.

    Chapter 2: Specifications Checking network connections You can check the network connections to be sure that the computer and GERBER EDGE FX can communicate. Tip: When a live network cable is plugged into the computer, the RJ45 jack LEDs will light.

General hand tools General hand tools are used to remove, adjust, and reinstall a variety of EDGE FX parts, including covers, circuit boards, and mechanical components.     Chapter 7: Troubleshooting Diagnosing printer problems The DIAGNOSTIC MENU of the GERBER EDGE FX provides a small test print to verify that the printer is capable of printing and a network test to determine the network throughput. From the DIAGNOSTIC MENU you can also view the firmware version information which you may need if speaking with Gerber technical representatives.
